Greetings yall!
This aint my first post. Ive been lurking around for a while and been asking questions here and there trying to figure things out. Learned a lot so far and i aint done squat yet except wash my vehicles and use a quick detail spray on em. Lookin better already though!
Ive never been into detailing before. Never had a reason to. All of my previous vehicles have been older and i never felt any real pride towards em, except for them being paid off of course. lol. My wife's having her mid life crisis right now and went and purchased a 2011 camaro a few months back. Not long after that, my truck let me down and it was time to get something else and somehow i ended up with a slightly used 2012 f150. I guess we're having our mid life crisis together. lol
Anyhoot, I found this place a little over a month ago i guess. Believe i was originally looking for a good polish and wax to apply by "hand". I believe it was when watching one of Mike's videos that made it look so easy to machine polish a car and remove swirls, that I felt the hook snag me and start slowly reeling me in. My pocketbook aint been the same since.
Even though ive yet to do more than wash my vehicles, ive learned a lot in the short time ive been here. Cant wait to finally get one taped off and start using my soon to be purchased DA. It will be the last item i order to get me started. Ive already got a lot. More than most start off with i reckon. The thing is, i started buying stuff before i really started getting educated. So i invested more than i should in less than desirable microfibers and stuff. This hobby is expensive enough without making mistakes. Especially if you want to be setup to do it right the first time by having enough pads and microfibers. Id have been much better off not buying anything till i had everything figured out a lot better. Ohh well, live and learn. Itll be a few weeks yet before i get started. Cant wait!
