Griot’s 3 in 1 Ceramic Longevity & upkeep

Has anyone used the GG Ceramic speed shine as a drying aid/ QD on top of the 3 in 1? Or are you guys just applying more 3 in 1 say every two months?

3-1 every three (2?) months and CSS as drying aid. Better if you dry then apply CSS. Freshly applied it’s got a great gloss

I've done both and both work. 3 in 1 works as a drying aid too. Griot's uses a water based formula so it's very easy to apply.

I don't have 3 in 1 on my car yet but I do apply CSS monthly after drying. Griot's says CSS and Wash & Coat last a month.

Yep, use the CSS on top as a QD. I haven't used it as a drying aid. The 3 n 1 topped with CSS is a great combo that I use on friends & family vehicles.

Maybe I'll top the 3 in 1 with something next wash. Griot's doesn't agree with doing that but I may give it a shot anyway.

That’s mostly why I bought the CSS.

I've found most of these products last about the same, give or take a few weeks difference. The great thing about these type of products, like the 3 in 1, is that they are so easy to use and can be used as a drying aid so when you wash, just hit it again. That way you basically have continuous protection on the paint.

I wash my car once a week to every other week during the nice weather. Staying on top of it something I prefer to do.

Use CSS whenever you want some pop. I usually use rule of half. Products last half as long as manufacturers give.

I would not haveca problem using CSS, if used as drying aid, every wash.

When you use as drying aid you are diluting product. I don’t do it necessarily for shine. I use it to help reduce towel marring.

One to two sprays per panel.

So I guess as a drying aid or QD - CCS works well... Good to hear as both 3-1 and CCS will be my first griot's products.

Going to use 3-1 for the first time. Previously used meguiars polish and wax, last was about 3 months ago.

Should I do anything besides wash and dry before using 3-1?

It will work if you just wash/dry/apply but to get longest durability they probably recommend you at least clay the paint but personally if there’s clay involved there’s also polishing going to happen.

You’ll be fine with just wash and dry, worst case scenario you get about 3 or 4 months instead of 6. Just reapply each quarter of the year.

Clay and polish if needed

I quite like this stuff. For a spray wax that can be used as a drying aide the protection is tops IMO. Its lasted longer than any Caranuba wax ive ever used, and longer than most sealants. my only complaint is that the depth of gloss doesnt match a car with a good caranuba wax.

It's definitely one of the most durable spray sealants you can buy for the $ and in some cases is better than some of the pricier boutique brands.

Griot's didn't have the manufacturing capability to make an Sio2 spray, so they invested in the equipment and delivered a good product.

Did anyone else that has used 3 in 1 notice that the water behavior didn't produce very tight beads compared to other similar products? While durability is top notch, when I had used 3 in 1 it never produced the real tight beading you see of higher end products, or even HCD for that matter.

The 3 in1 product does a fantastic job though at sheeting water. That I did notice.
