GRIOT'S 3 inch orbital buffer

Tried the 3.5 Thin Pro Pads with the 3" Girot. Like night and day. The pads make a big difference.

More rotation, cooler running and great cut with the Coarse Pad. The machine still runs hot but the pads stayed cool even on plastic.

Still need a larger DA to polish out an entire car but the small areas are now covered.

What color thin pads did you buy or just the course orange? What polish? I have been looking at those thin pads
 
I bought the 6 pack so have all the colours. I wanted to compare thick 1.5" vs. the Thin Pro Pads. I used Optimum Hyper Compound and Optimum Hyper Polish. Next up the 5.5".

Thanks again for your help. I believe I also will get a 6 pack of the thin pads to compliment my 3" Groit . Then pull the trigger on a PC 7424 using the 5 or 5.5 inch pads.
 
I have gone with the GG-6 and just recently went to the 5 inch backing plate, with the 5.5 Griots pad's, I LOVE THIS SETUP.
 
Since you already have the GG3, get the GG6
And get Thinpro pads for both machines
Forget about the PC

What I want to do this weekend is search out someone who as a GG6 and actually try it out or a least watch it in operation. The GG3,...it's a Okay machine probably more suited for very small items like motorcycle tanks, side covers etc. This is why I'm leaning towards the PC7424. I'm going to tackle my sons 2013 Scion TC with all the body lines connecting to small flat panels your going to be doing at least half the car with a 4inch pad.

I know enough people in my area I would like to think I can find someone who has a GG6 so as too, at least look at it and try it. I like nice tools so making a purchase is easy, just would like to make sure if I can, it fits the criteria's for what I'm doing. It seems like its almost 50/50 with the GG6 or the PC 7424 for recommendations.
