griots 6 inch random orbital

So i bought the griots 6 inch random orbital tool. But i want to remove the 6 inch head. Because,i have some 4inch soft bristles for my leather.

Anyone know how to do it?(

The "head" is the backing plate. The BP comes off with a special thin wrench that comes with the polisher. You put it between the BP and the black metal collar and spin the BP counter clockwise. But, you have to get the wrench on the hex nut on the spindle mechanism. Just look between the BP and the black collar - you are looking in the exact center for something that looks like a nut.
