Griot's 6" ROP little copper thingies

Does anybody know what these two things for, above the 2 black screws? My machine did not come with Instructional DVD as stated on Griot's Garage site. I purchased my machine from AG.

arent those replacement brushes for the motor ??
 
Thanks for the replies. But where do they go on the orbital? :dunno: The directions say nothing about them.

Sorry for the dumb question.
 
They go under the little black screws on the side. I'm pretty sure unless you use your polisher professionally 8 hours a day, that you'll lose them before you ever need to replace them, so you might as well throw them out now! :p

EDIT--these are spares, extras, replacements, your polisher already has a set inside, please don't start taking it apart to put these in!
 
I assumed they were extras. Just wasn't sure what they were for, but now I do. I promise not to take my polisher apart! LOL

Put them in a ziplock bag and label them. Then put them in your tool box. These things never go bad unless it is the worst possible time for it. Don't be like me and have to spend 6-7 hours looking for them because I didn't label them.
