I'm thinking of trying one of these. like the write up auto geek gave it. said all the right things. wanted to throw it out there see if anyone has something to say good or bad about either of them

What are you using now? The reason I ask is because I have so many waxes now that it is almost laughable. I gave away of lot more than I have, too. For paste wax I've settled in on 476s and Fuzion. Why? Because they both work in all weather conditions and are very forgiving, they are easy on and easy off and most importantly they are both pretty durable.

I have many other liquid and paste waxes now, all of them competent, all of them pretty decent, all of them providing varying levels of protection.

Long live carnauba! Buy it all and apply often

I used it this past weekend. very easy to work with. I watched the you-tube videos of applying it in a criss cross pattern. worked like a charm. very easy to take off. My Mustang has Deep Impact blue paint. made it very deep and rich looking. liked it so much I applied a second coat next day. Car looks amazing

Well I was using Mothers Carnuba cleaner wax. Till I got on here and was told everytime I put wax on I am striping off old wax and putting on new. I tried Mothers straight carnuba. very hard to take off. Was looking for something That would protect against the intense Florida sun, and maybe help against spotting. never fails in the summer Car looks great. I drive to work. Sun comes car gets hot out gets very hot. then we have a 10-15 minute down pour and the sun comes back out and bakes rain on hood, roofm, trunk. saw very good reviews on Griots and says sheets rain off so I figgured Id try it

Every car is different, every weather condition is different, etc. One of the most durable based on popularity here is Collinite 476s paste. I use it. If I put it on too thick it is a beast to remove, requiring quick detailer to get rid of the streaks. If I put it on very thin it wipes off very easily. It can be applied in direct sunlight, too.

Sounds like this car is a prime candidate for
Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax.

I will check into it. Thanks very much. Ya know the Griots Garage best in show wax did a great job. Car looks wet. very happy. I even poured a small cup of water to see if the "Beads right up AND ROLLS RIGHT OFF" claim is true. passed cup test but the real test is the rain test. Its a doubled edge sword I want it to rain so i can see the results. but yet it looks so good I dont want it to rain.

I found FK1000 to be much more user friendly than Collinite 476. Much easier to buff off after passing the swipe test.

I gotta tell you so far I am quite impressed with the Griots Garage. Still hasnt rained yet in Florida. But tomorrow I am gonna try another thing they claim. fist when I wet the car it should bead and roll right off. second the car is a little dusty so im gonna rinse off and see if "This makes future washing that much easier because any built up dirt, dust, and other debris rolls right off with the water!". Like I said so far I am happy

I'm a big fan, Griot's has a great lineup of really enjoyable waxes - I'm looking forward to trying the new Best of Show Spray Wax.

I lived in Florida for many years (Orlando area), I used to use chemical guys Pete's 53 wax along side with their JetSeal Chemical Guys - JetSeal & Pete's 53 Protection & Shine Kit (6 Items). I have used Griots show paste wax, works well (even in high temp days). With any area of country that gets a lot of high temperatures and your car sitting in direct sunlight all day (mixed with fallout) I would suggest a sealant as well for added protection. That my 2 cents :).

Two week update. I washed the car yesterday. second time since I waxed it. very dirty with pollen. pollen season in full swing down here. even full of pollen the car beaded strong. after washing beads stayed strong. After chamoising the paint looked very deep and rich. like it had just been waxed that day. I'm sold. very happy with the results. highly recomend
