Griot's Boss Paint Polishing System vs 1970 Chevelle!

Griot's has provided ten brand new Boss polishers for the upcoming 3-day Detailing Boot Camp Class. Plus all the pads and chemicals to outfit the tools.

There will be 5 brand new G21s and 5 brand new G15s plus the Griot's 6" and 3" dual action polishers including 4 brand new Griot's 6" DA Polishers.

I just took this picture out in the Show Car Garage, check it out!

Here's our Griot's Boss Training Car. This is a one owner, factory 454 model with air conditioning.

Yeah yeah yeah.... I know some of you guys that don't know how I roll probably think there's nothing wrong with the paint on this car. That's why I always document the before condition.

Here are 4 pictures showing how all the paint on this car looks....

Here's a shot framing up the trunk lid...

Here's the close-up of the same location. Note besides the swirls and scratches there's also a film on the paint and it feels as rough as #40 grit sandpaper.

Here's the cowel induction hood. The overhead florescent lights show the paint to look hazy....

The flash from my camera tells tells the whole story...

Everyone attending the upcoming 3-day class, July 17th, 18th and 19th will get to use the Griot's Boss Paint Polishing System on this old 2-door Chevy.

Sweet vehicle choice there Mike! Will be on the lookout for the afters.

Would you happen to have pictures of the monster that lies beneath the hood?

Ouch! That car sure looks shiny from a distance but holy flash effects Batman!

When you say four "brand new" GG 6" machines--there hasn't been any change to those, has there, Mike?

He's referring to the fact that they've never been used. :)

Yes, it needs your help drastically but at least it has factory A/C. That's providing it works. At my age I'll take a so-so finish and a freezing A/C as opposed to the opposite. I will be trashed for this statement but I can't wait to see how it comes out Mike.

Is that an LS6 Chevelle? I think that is the engine code for the all aluminum engine that put out like 450hp, compared to the iron block "standard" 454. Or am I totally confused?

Man I wish I could be there, looks like great fun, you guys should do road tours and come to Boston :xyxthumbs:

Can't be an LS6 if it has factory air. Factory air was not allowed on solid lifter engines (to include the L78). So if it's the original factory 454 and has factory air, it's an LS5, and it would I believe have a Quadrajet not a Holley, if still in original factory configuration.

Ok, still a nice car. That body style - 69-70 of all four GM brands is one of the best looking cars of that generation in my opinion,
