We've been cooking up something pretty huge
that we're excited to be sharing with you soon.
Any guesses what it will be?

I'm going to guess a coating, just the only thing missing in their excellent lineup

I could be proven wrong, but I don't think it will be a coating.

Last year, I listened to a podcast featuring Nick Griot. On the podcast he said the only way they would do a coating was if they developed and made it in-house. He freely admitted this would be a very expensive investment for the company. Nick also mentioned coatings didn't really fit in with their current offerings. He said their product lines were designed around the car/detailing enthusiast who likes to frequently "touch" their car and detail it whether it's waxing, sealing, or giving it a good wash and QD wipedown. Griots felt coatings, due to their properties, led to people interacting with their cars/paint less.

That being said, things could have changed and there are plenty of us on this forum who would prove their theory wrong too. I coat my cars, I use a Griots product or two, and I wash my cars all the time!

Gear Driven with a Lifetime Warranty :buffing:

Would be nice to see a forced rotation from Griot's. Hopefully that's what it is.

A better 3" polisher? The current little fella has zero balls.

Well at last years SEMA show, they told me they weren't interested in coatings at all, but to look out for a nano polisher this summer. I'm really hoping it's the nano polisher...

As long as it doesn't cost $600!

I’m really hoping for an Ibrid alternative, it’s far to expensive for my occasional use.

I have no clue or inside information, but in a later podcast, they said they were investing and putting in place the infrastructure to make a coating in house.

The phrase “cooking up” seems like it would refer more to chemistry than tooling, but I’ll freely admit I have no clue (especially about this).

I’m sure I’d have to buy it if it was a coating, as I still haven’t decided my LSP of choice and Griot’s has never let me down.
It’d be great if it was a machine as another tool on the market with their warranty would be huge to Pros and Amateurs alike. I dream of cordless...

maybe if we make enough noise they will see the requests for a better/cheaper alternative to those hard to reach area's of polishing.
