Griots polisher wobbles with Lake Country pads but not CG pads

My Griots Garage polisher does a fast circular wobble when using a Lake Country CSS white/polishing pad, but not with using a Chemical Guys Hex-Logic pad orange/cutting and CG green/polishing while using the same backing plate, polishing medium, same vehicle, same operator. All pads for a few sprays of pad conditioner before use. The Lake Country pads are thicker than the CG pads. What could be causing this?

If the pads are not balanced then there will be wobble. I notice the same thing when using Megs pads vs using BOSS pads, the BOSS pads are perfectly smooth but occasionally a Megs pads will be wobbly. It's just the pad. It tends to smooth itself out a bit once you've polished with the wobbly pad though.

Which model Griots polisher are you referring to?
1 of causes for the wobble you’re describing could be the additional size of the pads in comparison and also more importantly the total weight of the pad combined with product that’s placed on the surface of the backing plate...

If I was noticing what you’re describing the 1st thing I’d do is stop using the Pad Conditioner. Any additional liquid on top of the polish/compound you’re already putting on the pad is not helping the situation.

The Griots model I am using is their standard 6" polisher from 3 years ago. I don't see a model number on the box, but it not the newer G9.
