Griots pre-wax cleaner

i haven't used it but from what i've read they are VERY positive.

I use it every time before I apply a sealant or wax. Prepares the surface very nicely.

Love it...works great and goes a long way. Maybe for a full commercial shop, then 55 gallon drums of something might be better--but for us, it works. :xyxthumbs:

The best and very reasonably priced. I use it faithfully.

Can it be used after each polishing step to remove polishing oils durin a correction?

Yes, that's what it's designed for. Nice replacement for IPA and it smells nice too.:props:

It does work well and is also well priced.
I have found when using it on darker colored vehicles that it will sometimes leave some film but no big deal,I then do a quick wipe with distilled water to remove any Griots PreWax cleaner that was there.

would you use pre wax cleaner with a Glaze application? Would you use it before glaze or after?

After polishing to remove any polish oils, then proceed with glaze or your lsp.

I was using this before my bottle of CarPro Eraser came in. During this latest polishing session I have been using Eraser with better results. The Griot's product is a great product, Eraser is just better :xyxthumbs:. I am not saying this because it was free either because the Griot's Pre-Wax Cleaner was free too. I split the hood in half, cleaned one side with Griot's and one side with Eraser, called my wife to the garage and asked her which side had a cleaner feel, she rubbed both sides of the hood and chose the Eraser side. Oh, the anti-static claim is true as well. I haven't touched the car in 24 hours and I can literally count the pieces of dust on the roof. In a recent thread about the 2 products I said you can have the same product but cheaper, wrong! Spend the extra money and pick up the Eraser.
