Does the new Griot RO have a life-time warranty? Saw a post about the warranty, but did not see it on AG's site nor on Griot's site.
 
I just checked both sites also and couldn't find the warranty so let us check on that and get back to you and then we'll update our store with the accurate information.

I found this on the Griot Site, the other day... and it made me feel a lot better to own a product with such a Warranty attached to it.

Customers For Life - 100% Guarantee

Customers for Life At Griot's Garage, we want you as a customer for life. Everything you purchase from us comes with a lifetime guarantee against defect. We want you to Enjoy our quality products for 180 days and have fun with them! If you don't like it for any reason during this time, return it for a full refund or credit. After that, you're covered with our lifetime guarantee against defect, in which we will either repair it, replace it, or credit your purchase price if we are able to do neither. Some items have a life span during normal use and they wear out. Our warranty does not include replacement of such items after normal use. Of course our guarantee doesn't cover abuse... But you already knew that.

As an authorized reseller for Griots I would think the warranty flows-thru, but best to confirm it with Mike and Meghan tomorrow.

Griots products warranty is extended to all of their products whether you buy from us or them. As for if you ship it to Canada I would imagine that Griots would hold you for the shipping fees to them to replace it but would cover sending out the new one to you. And if they don't we will.

not tring to be funny, but that would mean it's not covered for life. I'm just saying.
 
I have had good luck w/ there warranty. I got some of those 3" red wax pads from them and the Velcro started pealing off because of how strong the Velcro was between the pad and the finger holder they sent out a replacement the next day no questions asked. This was after about a month or so of use.

It's covered for the "lifetime" of the product (or... in some cases, the lifetime of the company that made it...), not the lifetime of the purchaser. Note, it also states " our lifetime guarantee against defect" which means that wear and tear parts are not covered against wear and tear but if something that does not normally wear out has broken, then you're covered.... unless that part was subjected to abuse....... or the entire unit is well past it's assumed lifespan. If you bought a polisher 20 years ago, it's most likely well past it's best before date.... even if you have not actually used it that much...

I think that computer hard disk manufacturers have the right idea, they issue a given warranty period and then they simply state that all hd's of a given model # are covered until a set date..... no issues with finding your bill of sales, nothing to worry about, just check the model number of your disk on the website and they tell you up front, it's either covered or not. Does not matter if it's original equipment or you bought it as a replacement.... Just a flat "this product number is covered until this date" and after that, just go buy a new one.
