Grit Guard Alternative

Remember ingenuity is the mother of inventions. Mr Lamb had an inspiration and ran with it. I want a clip to be able to take the power cord to attach to my shirt so it doesn't keep falling or wrapping around my neck. I know it is out there but haven't found it yet. So for now I have to figure a workaround. So for the guy using a bucket bottom guard go for it. Modify it to work for you.

I'd almost bet the farm that several hundred thousand (or more)
Grit Guards have been sold since Mr. Lamb filed for his patent.
Several hundred thousand? How are you arriving at that number?

I'll further my previous: "low-ball estimate"...of the number of Grit Guards (not their pad-washers)
sold World-wide for just the last four years as such:

-$2.5 million X 4 = $10 million revenue
-$10 million/$10 = 1,000,000

Looks like a pretty good money-maker...
even after all of the 'overhead' is deducted...
...and, even if my numbers-crunching is off a hair or two...IMO.

:)

Those sales figures are for everything they sell, not this one item.

Unless for some reason they separated out the buckets and stuff into another company. But I am agreeing with you more and more and now agreeing with the op more, in those quantities their cost has to be under a buck. Nice profit for a four person company.

It's only 10 bucks for the grit guard and it's worth it, sack it up and buy one.

better yet.. cg's has the grit guard, bucket w/ gamma seal lid, wash pad and 16oz of cw&g for $24.95. though i'm not a fan of the wash pad included, but a good deal considering all that you get...

Gary Dean has a clip for $10--check his website or the 3D website in the accessories section, but I use an "S" clip found in the camping section of your local sporting good store for $2
