Grit Guard with Rinseless Wash?

I was reading one of Mike Phillips articles about no rinse washes and he says that if you go with two gallons of wash solution and use the grit guard you will obviously not be able to get to all of the solution. Do most people either just go with 3 or 4 gallons or just not use the grit guard? I will definitely use it in my second "just water" bucket.

I mix 4 gallons with a grit guard in both buckets. I have enough to get the job done that way....

When I'm using a rinseless wash I tend to use more then with a regular soap and water wash. I always mix 3 to 4 gallons of rinseless wash and use a grit guard......:props:
 
If you use a second bucket, you dont need a GG IMO. I do 3 gallons and a Dirt Dobber. I dont use a second bucket with Rinseless. Particulate drops to the bottom in it.
 
It has a tray that runs down the side of the bucket and you run your mitt along it to help remove the dirt
 
I'm still in the paranoid stage with rinseless washes so I use grit guards in both my buckets. I use 4 gallons of water with 2 ounces of ONR or DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss with the wash bucket. I think I will start using a second rinse bucket. Call it overkill, but I'd rather that then be doing full paint corrections in the spring.

Did I mention I'm still in the paranoid stage? Prior to doing rinseless washes, I'll spray down the panels with clean water from a chemical sprayer, as well as spray down the panel with a batch of whatever product I'm using (ONR or DPRWG) at QD stength and let it dwell.

Overkill...probably....

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this, because I'm pretty sure other people do this too...I don't use a GG in my first bucket, but I use a GG in my rinse bucket with 2 gallons of half-strength rinseless.

EDIT: You know, QEW and ONR were designed to be used without a rinse bucket...it's just us over-cautious people who use one :p
 
I don't use a gg in my wash bucket with 2 gal rinseless but I put 2 in my rinse bucket

I've also been hosing the car off beforehand lately but that will change once the temps get below freezing...
 
For regular wash I've been using a grit guard in each bucket, but for ONR I just put both grit guards in my rinse bucket.
 
I use 2 buckets with 1 GG for the rinse water. I don't see why I would need another for the ONR bucket.
 
I use 1 bucket, 1 grit guard and 3 gallons of water with 3 Tablespoons. Its 1 Tablespoon per gallon as per the directions.

I really haven't tried 2 bucket with ONR. I have been happy with 1 bucket.
