Hi,
Question on applying G1/G2 on windshield. Instructions say to apply 3 layers and then rub out excess with G2. I assume they mean three wet/very thin layers, let it get opaque in 15 minutes , and then apply G2.

Alternative would be to apply 3 layers but letting each one cure 15 minutes before doing the next layer. Then do G2. I searched but could not find an answer.

Thanks for any help

?? Will the finished coat be ultra smooth??
I just did the rest of the windows (inside and out) using my Flex 3401 to glass polish the surfaces. Then hand applied BFWetDiam Sealant and the surface is unbelievably smooth and
the glass looks AMAZING. I tried BFWD on another windshield and it didn't seem to hold up.

I did three coats with a wipe off in between. The G2 is just IPA incase you run low.

Thanks,
so three coats of G1 and for each coat let it cure 15 minutes and then wipe with G2 or IPA if I run out of G2.

IPA is about 10/15% Isopropyl and 85/90% distilled water, correct?

I bought the mini kit so only 15 ml G1. Will that do 2 or how many car windshields??

The above is the correct application of G1. Do an IPA wipe down of the glass before applying G1.

I recently applied G1/G2. The results are nothing short of amazing. I have not driven the car in the rain yet but I washed the truck yesterday and the water was not even sticking to the windshield. It was great.

I applied 3 thin coats. Waited 15 mins and removed with G2. There were several areas that I had to work on to get the streaks out but the results are well worth it. I found a good "go to" video on You Tube.

You should link the video for those who have not used G1/G2.:xyxthumbs:

Probably it's this one:

It's the "official" video.
