Guess what it's worth?

Whatever the answer is, I know it will make me sick. I was looking for a car in 1973 and had the opportunity to buy a Pace Car replica for $2,000.
I just couldn't see myself driving a car with an orange interior, so I passed and bought a new 442.
Another one of my brighter moves!

Might sound weird but I LOVE the orange interior... but then I'm a fan of orange after polishing and waxing a Hugger Orange Sanger Drag Boat for 20 years...

The owner told me what he's using for an interior cleaner and I cringed... so we're going to upgrade him a little...

:D

I got it valued at around $84k because of the authenticity of it, restoration, and significance.

I'm going to say $148,000.00. Sorry if someone took this guess.

$120,000.00. This kind of stuff was a dime a dozen when I was in high school and it makes me ill to think about it. Wish I still had my '64 Impala SS, my '68 and '70 Chargers...

In 1979 I had the chance to buy a KR500 428 off of a little used car lot for the asking price of 4,500.00!!!! Think of the amount of polish I could buy today with that profit!

Are we guessing what it's worth or what it could get at an auction?

Since it is complete numbers matching but has had a Frame-Off Restoration I would think it it worth around 50K but at an auction I would think 48k - 85k depending on the person bidding.

If this was all original in excellent condition and never had a Frame-Off restoration than I would guess it would be worth 100k - 125k

Mike stated he would ask the owner for his best guesstimate as to the current market value. That's what you should be guessing. What will the owner say?

That's the number we're going to go by...

I figure since he owns it, he gets offers for it and monitors what it's worth as a Camaro enthusiast/owner. Plus he's probably had it appraised for insurance reasons and he'll know the amount of the most recent appraisal.

After I post the dollar amount he gives me can I get a volunteer to filter through this thread and figure out whose guess comes the closest?

I'll post his answer tomorrow so until I post the answer anyone can post their guess but please, only one guess per forum members. Anyone that posts two or more guesses will be disqualified from the prize.
