I don't know anything about this stuff, but my father-in-law does.

Here's his car going through restoration the second-to-last time:

When he restored it for the last time, he hired a fellow to work on his car full time for about eighteen months.

Here's their finished product:

This car is garaged, covered, and very seldom driven (less than fifty miles in the past two or three years). I believe he's owned it for about thirty years.

I believe these were selling through Barrett-Jackson for more than US$100,000.
