I had no idea this car was online for sale?

I only talked to Mike briefly about the car being for sale and when I asked him what the price was he told me, $20,000.00

He never mentioned he had it for sale on the Internet at all let alone a higher price. I introduced him and his buddy to what we all call a "Discussion Forum", showed him how to find our project cars by going to AutogeekONLINE.net and then how to go to the bottom of the forum homepage to find my box where I post what's going on at Autogeek.

As you all know, forum people tend to be very Internet savvy, so I'm not surprised that since the car is "online" for sale that our forum members did a little Googling and easily found it.

So just to be fair, I'll have Nick award two prizes and in the future if I ever do a contest like this again I will first ask the owner if the car is anywhere for sale ONLINE

So whoever was the first to post the price Mike told me, $20,000.00 and whoever was first to post the $21,750.00 price shown below in the screenshot I just took, contact Nick and let him know if you want the products we used on the car or the autographed Swirl Gun by Alexis.

Huge thank you to everyone that participated...

I must admit that I had found the "for sale ad" online, that's where I took the 21 750$

So who won?

I'm just going by the order of who posted the correct amount first in the thread and if you look on page 1 and post #4 of this thread you'll find HotRod posted the online sale figure first...

And here are the rules as I posted them in my the first post of this thread,

Here's the contest...
Reply to this thread with your best guess as to the asking price. The person who guesses closest to the price Mike's asking wins a prize.

If two people guess the same price the winner goes to whoever posted first. So take a guess and post quickly!

If I'm wrong, please someone correct me...

:)

So did I but I said something different because I figured if Mike asked him in person he would say a different number then $21750 which he did. He said $20000. Can't win em all I guess.

Correct.

Right after he parked the car on the mats I pulled up the thread on the forum and showed it to him and then asked him what he was asking for the car and he said,

"$20,000.00"

I asked him if that was firm and he said, "yes".

Then we started working on the car. I didn't ask him if he had the car online for sale because the next thing I did was start taking picture to document the condition of the paint which I'm getting ready to upload right now.

In the future, when there's a contest like this, the best thing to do is to post to it as soon as possible...
