Gyeon Bathe+ Initial thoughts/review

I'm so tired of the tone of a lot of posters and bickering on this site. It's been fun, AGO. Detailing online communities are turning absolutely toxic.

But doesn’t the coin op have a spot free de ionized rinse setting that you can use? Every coin op I’ve ever been to has it.

Nah. Not all of them. Some places don't do regular maintenance and it sucks to learn that the hard way.

One place I go to, sometimes doesn't have the "spotless rinse" working. Once, even their regular high pressure rinse didn't work. Yeah. I avoid that place unless I'm desperate.

I have tried two different methods and both times it has worked.

Precisely why I gave out some samples. I didn't want to dismiss it entirely after my one experience. I had a similar experience with Final Inspection (but let's not go there).

when I used it on my Jeep, there was NOTHING done to the Jeep. No polish. No LSP. Nada. So I wanted to see how the soap would act on other's cars. Coated, LSP'd, whatever.

I haven't tried the soap since that last time. I'm not in a hurry to do so, either. LOL- But I haven't thrown it out! Or traded it.

Anyway. Yeah. We're gonna have different experiences with these products. one good thing about a forum, is we can discuss our experiences and provide the details to go along with them.

For me, I hope I can narrow down why or when some products don't work at all, or work well. This comes from sharing the info and experiences! :)

I don't do traditional 2BM washes, but is this possibly a case where more is not better?

Poorboy's Spray & Wipe is a waterless wash that works best when used very sparingly. Likewise, if you over apply something like Collinite 915 or 476 you end up with cement on your paint and a poor user experience.

Not trying to "poke the bear" here Eldorado, but perhaps using the product as intended (i.e. recommended dilution ratio) MAY have been better.

No rebuttal needed. Just an observation.

So you’re saying maybe I should try .5oz. into 3-4 gallons of water instead and see if that produces beading? I doubt that would work.. But honestly I think I’m over this product. Spending any more time on this would be like waiting in the longest line for the worst roller coaster in the amusement park, just simply not worth it.

At this point, wouldn't washing the car with a regular car soap and using Gyeon Cure as a drying aid basically do the same thing with less time and cost?

I laughed so hard!

That's what I keep thinking! Wash, rinse, mist product, dry sure seems easier to me than Wash, rinse, apply, wash, rinse, dry.

I'm glad it's working for the people that like it, but I don't see it being a fit for me.

I got my AG order this afternoon, thanks AG for the 2 day shipping present, so the Gyeon Bathe wash is coming to the FNW! I plan on following the directions for the 2BM wash and will also add some to my foaming sprayer for the Worx hydroshot for pre-washing. I guess I can post back here but this is the regular, non controversial version of their car wash soap, LOL.

Gyeon Bathe...best soap I've used to date! Works great in my soap dispenser as well as in the bucket! Based on this I turned around and ordered Gyeon Wet Coat, this is the way it's s supposed to work, right

Thank you Eldo from saving me from wasting my money on this product.

I will continue researching for another quality shampoo that can maintain and extend the life of Gyeon Wet Coat.

Glad I could shed some light and provide as much of the all around scoop as part of my reviews.

There’s several so called reviews on youtube that seem to just preach what the label says without providing any real insight or opinion based on user experience with the product.. And while somewhat entertaining to watch, how honest can a “review” actually be if the person never has anything negative to say about any product they review.
