Gyeon bathe +

It would work don't know if it would extend life if hydro blue long though, they're basically the same product

I use Hydrofoam for some of my customers with coated vehicles. I've used Bathe+ but I prefer Hydrofoam over it.
If you think Hydro Blue and Hydro2 are easy, just wait until you wash with with either of these soaps.

Yea. Forgot about HYDRO FOAM!

I don't follow your logic. I find them to be very distinct and different products. Gyeon Bathe+ is a car shampoo with silica content, and Hydro Blue is a pressure activated silica spray. It would seem to me that Gyeon Bathe+ is intended to clean and extend the life of a coating, silica sprays included.

That's why I use Bathe+.

Or, are you saying this because Bathe+ has <5% silica as does Wet Coat? I don't know what the percentage of silica is in Hydro Blue. Nevertheless, they're two different t products in my mind for different purposes.

Just don't let it sit too long. I had streaking with hydrofoam. It could have been my fault, but I haven't used it in blue moon.

I've always seen them as having equal properties excluding the soap itself, basically saying you can take bathe+ and wipe on a panel and spray it off basically activating it the same way as hydro blue or the others.

Yes they are different ways to get the same results but very similar in their goals

Exactly my point they use different delivery methods but basically have the same results

All right: I can see the point that they have the same active ingredient for protection.

Nevertheless, one (Bathe+) is intended to clean a vehicle (and protect) while the other (Hydro Blue, Wet Coat, HydrO2) is intended to protect only. I don't know why one would wash his car with some soap and then wipe Bathe+ on it. That seems like an arduous waste of time when you can just wash with Bathe+ or wash and then use Hydro Blue, etc. Nor would one attempt to wash his car with hydro blue. Not the same products in my mind.

Back to the OP: the product is intended to extend the life of a coating. I assume it does this by layering SiO2.

GYEON Q2M Bathe + Plus - 400 ml

Correct me if I am wrong. But this would be a perfect soap to maintain hydro blue. Same Si02 makeup.

Should work fine.

Damn and I just wasted time using this method on my dad's car that has gloss coat :(. It did work though.

Reason for that was based on this video by Gyeon covering two methods to use it. I used method 1 but with my foam gun instead. Again it did work with this method.

I may try method 2 or a combo of both methods.

I just don't buy this claim of "super hydrophobic" when the amount of silica is the same. For me at least, I find it more practical to wash with the product and then use something more convenient (such as Hydro Blue) on the surface, which is faster for the same protection level. Using the second method feels like, to me, washing the car twice and bringing something in contact with the paint twice.

I haven't used it in a foam gun, but that would be interesting to try...sort of like Hydro Foam or TAC Mystic Repellent.

I'm sure they claim super long durability too

I don't have a pressure washer any more so I had to improvise with the foam gun. I may get another pressure washer but I rarely used it to begin with.

I read that Ron and a few others over at Autopia mentioning a film build up on glass using bathe+ as a standalone soap.

That blows.

I wash my car with CG no gloss shampoo, rinse, then hydrofoam the whole car(in the sahde) and pressure rinse. Works great for me.

Yeah I know. I will experiment with it a bit more using it as a stand alone soap.

But I did the exact same thing that you do. I washed with Reset, rinse, then foamed with Bathe+ panel by panel running the mitt lightly over the surface (in the shade as well). Rinsed and saw some beading action take place. So it worked for me. I did not noticed any film on the front glass using this method the day after.

I don't touch the paint after foaming with hydrofoam. I foam the whole car quickly(after it's been washed/rinsed), then quickly pressure rinse the hydrofoam. There's a TON of beading and hydrophobic activity going on when I rinse it. I make sure to do this is the shade, however.

You can do the same with bathe+ based on the video I posted. So you are covered if you want to give bathe+ a go. Shoot me a PM and I'll send you a sample.
