Had a favorite sealant, now not so much

Hey guys been lurking for a while been detailing as a hobby on my own stuff for years. I have been a fan of the wolfgang setup for about 2 years as far as a 3 step process and using the meg. ultimate for my sealant for a little while now and I have had great success in the past with the meg ult but lately I have had that dreaded smear and cannot get off no matter what I am working on, sun shade let cure take right off ect. Hand applied and machined applied. Nothing seems to be working so I am ready to try something new and vs buying a ton of different products I thought I would throw my main concerns out there and see what you guys like. The wolf gang sealant is ok but seems to be very needy as in 12hr cure time in the south with a lot of moisture in the air and some of the trucks/trailers I do sit outside and by the time the sealant is taken off it is already too late, I also get a lot of road dust from the wolfgang as compared to the ultimate.

I try to wax/seal every week after I wash and my truck sits outside 24/7. It is a daily driver and gets used but it has to look good, so I wax/seal every week if I can. I would like an easy to use product that:

is very user friendly for weekly applications
low road dust attraction
DOES NOT STAIN TRIM
And will not haze and smear like the ultimate has started doing.

Cure and dry times:

Dry Time: Not applicable to all products, this is the expected time range from when the product has been applied until it hazes on the surface and can be removed with minimal effort. Applying the liquid products too thick, high humidity, or cool temperatures can effect dry time.

Cure Time: The estimated time from application until the product is fully cross-linked. Applying the liquid products too thick, high humidity, or cool temperatures can effect cure time.

Main thing is not to get it wet during curing time, if you wax/seal weekly the no big worry.

Maybe BF Crystal seal on a monthly basis with BF Polymer Spray on a weekly basis will be good. These two products have quick cure times.
 
Every week? Wow. I think I would use a nice nuba if I had that kind of time to spare on a weekly basis. Maybe a WOWA sealant would suit your needs. Such as Blackfire Crystal Seal or Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal.
 
^^Yes, I try every week if time permits usually no more than every 2 weeks. It takes me 2 hrs to wash the truck Silverado 2500 4 door. Throwing a coat of sealant usually takes me less time than that. Yes, I am ocd, LOL
 
Might be getting the smearing from too much build up of product on the paint. My advice, clay the vehicle, use a paint cleaner, strip the Ultimate off, add a new coat. Then, use Ultimate Quik wax every week after washing instead of the Ultimate Liquid wax. You can the apply Ultimate Liquid wax every other month or so. You won't notice the difference, except how much extra time you have on your hands.
 
Just remember- when all else fails read and follow the directions!!
 
Idk why you wax or seal every week or two its a waste of product, time, and money lol. I couldnt see how dirty your truck can get with that type of protection. But if you insist of doing that you might as well use a product like optimum opti seal one time and then use optimum spray wax every week or two. Both are great products and fast to apply (wipe on wipe off products), thus no curing time needed.

Huge fan of OPS topped with OOS. Maintained with OCW.

Lol I mean if youre on the site you prolly fall under "autogeekian" but I mean I know one will top several layers, but I mean every week? Lol. But yea i use the the three combo as well, poli seal, opti seal, and spray wax.. I throw pete 53 in the mix too.

Hate to air dirty laundry but...I was washing my two vehicles twice weekly, topping with OOS one day, then topping with OCW on the 2nd wash. Now I'm back to normal .
