AG carries them: Cquartz Nano Coating, Car Pro Car Care Products, Iron X Iron Remover, Reload :dblthumb2:.

I suspect a Tahoe will require the 50 ml bottle. Avi from CarPro (the mfg) recommends hitting the car with IronX prior to coating to remove embedded iron particles. This is particulary important for light colored vehicles as embedded iron will eventually turn into the yellow or brown spots you see on so many light colored cars. It all depends on how contaminated your car was when you got it and how many contaminants are in the air in your area. Avi recommends cleaning with a Dawn and isopropyl alcohol misture prior to coating to get rid of any lubricants from washing and polishing. I hate IPA for car finishes since it's a solvent for the finish. I'd recommend Optimum Power Clean or Griot's prewax cleaner or mineral spirits.

The prep process for CQ would then be:

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Ironx
4. Rinse
5. Polish
6. Wash with Power Clean, dry with fresh mf towel
7. Apply CQuartz and cure for 12 hours. Users report best results from coating the whole car before you start to buff off. Avi concurrs that this is a good approach. If you have enough left, some users report even better results from recoating. Allow the recoat to cure.
8. Apply ReLoad (optional) or you can just wait until after the first wash.
9. Do not wash for 7 days. If you need to wipe off bugs or dirt, use a 20% dilution of isopropyl alcohol - it's OK now, your car is coated.

if you work up to a compound then you gotta work back down to a polish and a polish pad.

always work least aggressive to more aggressive.

FWIW, I've had great luck removing hairline scratches with a CCS Orange or Hydrotech tangerine and a medium swirl remover like Wolfgang TSR or XMT #2.

Here you go!

If you want a more aggressive setup without going nuts

Start by doing a test area with the UC on an orange pad with the DA set at its highest speed.

C
olor doesn't matter very much. What does matter is your technique.

Here ya go pal

Yes it can be confusing to a new person. CQ is Cquartz - it's one of what I call the new "super sealants". They reportedly last for up to 3 years and are scratch resistant.

Wow!

Just wanted to chime in on this thread and say thank you to everyone that chimed in offering help to Proheader... when I read through a thread like this and take into account the time people invest to type out incredibly helpful answers for people they'll likely never meet outside of this forum it's truly impressive and a testimony to the character and quality of the members of this forum.

Nice job guys...

Totally agree with you Mike. It is important to me because I work so many different types of race cars that some of them have 30K paint jobs on them. You guys think detailing daily drivers is fun, try one of these types of cars we get that are worth over $250k and all they see is a 1/4 mile at a time.

After getting though my own cars, maybe we can do some race cars and see where that business goes......

I just want to spend my money wisely. We are fortunate enough to have a ton of work for a time like this when everyone else is slow. So when I buy a machine or product, its good to know that everyone has a general interest in each other and making all of us better.

It is truly a blessing to have a forum that is helpful, clear help and direction, and no wasteful posts all over the place.....let me know where else you can find that on the internet.....

Thanks again and I will make a purchase in the next few days. Got to wait for my two shipments to get here.....
