Hand Wand Self Serve Car Washes For the Winter

I applied a coat of Opti-Coat 2.0 this fall season so I'll be doing a David Fermani style torture test this winter with nothing but the touchless car washes soap and all. From time to time in the past we would get a nice spring like day during the winter and I would wash, clay and reapply a coat of #845 when possible but this year I'll be hibernating instead.

I run mine through regular car wash. It appear that everyone is concerned about wax stripping, and protecting the finish. when you have tons of snow, road salt dirt is more important to me to get underside washed. Any microscopic scratches I get on my finish can be dealt with easily in my garage.

I don't know how you guys do it. Sometimes it's below 25 degrees for weeks at a time. I tried spraying the car with the pressure washer and even doing a traditional wash at the do it yourself and the car turns to sheets of ice before I can even dry it.

I've used to local car wash a couple of times for my wife's Fiat 500. It takes the Mother's "Back to Black" right off the car so maybe my local guy is using nuclear waste for cleaner.

Don't tell anybody but it's $3 car washes for may daily driver until March.
