Happy Mardi Gras ya'll! Sucks not being in the South this time of year and having all the parades and fun. Was supposed to be in New Orleans this past weekend but family comes first. Found out around the Feb.21st that my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. And after the surgery that following Saturday we all found out the tumor is non-operable until after chemo in a couple of months. God willing the chemo will allow the surgeons to remove the tumor and re-route "the plumbing" around the pancreas. It has been a tough beginning to a new year with unemployment, house that needs repairs so I can rent it and move to Philly and start 3 years of school. Not to include a truck that needs that tranny swapped and oil seals replaced, among other things. Now, constantly praying that my mom heals from the first surgery and chemo works so they can operate on her a second time to remove the tumor; I am praying for a miracle and so are many other people for my mom. Thank you AG/AGO for distracting me when I would normally be very depressed and overwhelmed to say the least.
Today was a great day though. It's Fat Tuesday, my mom's birthday and he is happy, the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day, and God Blesses America(and all of us)! I walked the dog and I took a less traveled route to see if his doggie friend was available to play. Instead we met a guy named Chris who was "cleaning-up" his gf's neglected, white Xterra to take to Carmax, so I stopped with the pup to say hi and ended asking if he wanted a hand. I came back after dropping the dog and pick'n up detail stuff and talked more than detailed but did clay some spots and hand polished a spot, and spot cleaned the driver's door panel. Chatted him and the gf up and next thing I know Chris is handing me 20($)bucks; I said I couldn't take that much for what I did. But, he insisted so I said I would come back and give him his money's worth on his pearl white Dodge Ram and if Carmax didn't want to give a good deal on the Xterra I would hook up a full detail in hopes they get a better deal. He took my number and appeared very interested for me to detail the Ram. God blesses us when we least expect it. Plus! When I got home my neighbor had received my AG package from UPS for me. Right away I used my WG DGSS a few spots on the truck, one to include a spot I just hand polished with PBW's ProPolish. I have a new detailing love. WG DGSS has got to be the best QD available. It's a QD sealant which makes me feel even better about using it to clean off light dirt, dust, and smudges. I even snuck over to my neighbors Chrysler 300 and cleaned a spot that to make sure it was overspray of some sort. She now has a one clean, shiny spot on here drivers door that enhances the overspray spot.
Maybe now I can convince her she needs my services.hehe
And hopefully my neighbor's son lets me detail his 03 black Ram so he can try and sell it. God is good and is blessing me at a time when I really need it. Thanks for letting me rant/vent. Really though, just sitting here on reading and typing keeps me from thinking about how bad things may get with my mom in the coming months(not gonna cry in front of you guys). So whether you all know it or not, you have all helped me mentally deal with things in the past few weeks. And spending money on the AG store helped as well when I shouldn't have been spending money, but, God is blessing me to make money with those purchases. Thanks anyone who has listened to me/read this:rant:
