Happy Friday the 13th ....

I spent the day at the best ballpark in the world. My friends and I do this a few times a season. We take a limo down to the field and enjoy the game. C’mon I’ll take you with me.

Cubs win!!! It was a picture perfect day in Chicago and we all had a great time. Thanks for joining me.
 
Well, I had one of the worst days..........

I was shut down during a big detail by the city, long story, will make another post about it.

Had a HUGE altercation with my drunk in-laws. Fists were getting ready to fly.
Not getting into why, but I am the bad guy no matter what I do. You know how it goes.
I'll give a small example.
- I don't spend money. I work and deposit my money. I like to pay the bills off first before buying anything. Wife like to spend money, too much. No money left for bills. I let the cable get shut off. I can live without TV. She asks her daddy for $. It comes back on me. Blah blah blah. I get on to her about it......I get yelled at for getting on to her. WTF. So I am the bad guy always, no matter right or wrong.......
I was pissed and wrote checks for every damn thing I could.... Bill-wise, so now my bank account is, ZERO, if not negative.
(then the Wife went to Wal-Mart and spent another 180, so yea, negative.

Can anyone say, Financial Manager?

Then it rains, had an appointment cancel.

I actually think the whole week was a PITA, w/ 5 cancels, one including one of my biggest fleet accounts. Drive 30 minutes one way, and they decided they did not want to be there. Every Thurs. I go out there.....

oh well, hump in the road, I'll get over it....

nope, she plays dumb. She acts like she isn't spending money, but I find hidden receipts and such

Looks like it might be time for you to sit her down, show her the receipts, tell her how you feel and get it in her system.
 
Actually, Friday the 13th was the most sunny day in my vacation.. So I can't complain.

And, in tradition, a premiere of a new horror-movie.. From New Zealand... The Black sheep...

I did nothing, other than sit at a tiki hut bar here in liberia and enjoy a few beers with the coworkers until it started raining. I love africa

TB .... if you ever need help with Financial Planning email me offsite. Confidential and what I do for a living for others. It will take work to control spouse but once the change is made it becomes much more recognized by all parties.
 
TB, I am a bank manager and financial planner, really sorry to here about the negitive checking account. The fees for bounced checks are out of control. Seek help from someone!!! Ask the bank about overdraft protection!!!Killrwheels has offered help take him up on it. Often people come to us when it is almost too late. As a business owner you need to plan for retirement more than others because you have no 401K matching. Good luck with the issues!

getting the spouse to "buy in" is the hardest part ... youve got to see it and feel it to want it. Once it starts, its a world winning solution that lasts a lifetime. I still tease my wife, she has two friends that she takes to every mall or store she visits, its Visa and Mastercard.

what she will tell you is being debt free (other than small mortgage) and a stay at home mommie was what she needed to fine tune her control. Now she calls me a spendthrift as she see's this detailing hobby and ALL the boxes showing up weekly. :D
 
TB--It will work out with time, communication, and compromise. Been there, done that!

Anyhow, my 13th was pretty darn good actually. It was my birthday yesterday and I got two cash gifts today and my wife got me a HDD Sony Handycam DCR-SR42 (30 gig hard drive camcorder) for my b-day:righton: I didn't expect that! We couldn't afford to get much for each other at Christmas and she wanted to make it up to me. I asked for a UDM----go figure.

Alice - My brother called and said for my b-day he bought me, my wife, and 2 girls tickets to go see the TB Devilrays vs. the Yankees today. We're going with about 20 people and will be sitting 2,3,4 rows up in the "home run zone" in left field. Maybe A-Rod will send me a souvenir today:D My bro lives literally 2 minutes from Tropicana Field, I just have to drive 2 hours to get there, but it's all good. Just started really watching baseball this year after going to a game with him----very enjoyable experience....Plus I get to try out my new Sony handycam:righton: Also got a 15% off coupon for AG for my b-day and $10 from Autopia, so other than creeping up another rung on the age ladder, it was a great day overall!!! I'll post up some pics of the game later:)
