AYE! Roland!! The yard sale went well! We made about $100. That's pretty good considering it was a very crappy weekend. It was cold and drizzling off and on. There were about 50 neighbors selling items. We were all on the soccer field with our tables set up. Our biggest customer was a 7 year old little girl...yep...you heard me. She wanted my old Blackberry curve. Well her mom had brought muffins to sell for $2 a pop, and little balloon animals for the kids for a buck a piece. She made a deal with her daughter that if she sold $35 (the price I was asking) worth of muffins and balloons she'd buy the Blackerry for her. This little girl hustled her arse off and at the end of the day, handed me $35. I was surprised but not really. She was running around all day.

I handed out a bunch of brochures, about 50 of them. Everyone I handed it to was really excited about my services. I haven't gotten a call yet, which I'm not too worried about because I'm still debating my prices.

Yeah man I can't wait for some ceviche. My fiance is from the Bronx and she always goes to this local spot. She got me hooked!

Good luck with studying and on the exam. Stay focused man!!!

Wow seems like all the new generation of kids wants a a cell phone. My niece is 9 and is asking for a cell phone constantly because some of her friends have some! I can understand its for keeping in touch with your kid but damn that is young. Kids these days are all into gadgets they don't go out and play anymore. There is my rant for the night lol.

But glad the brochures worked out. At least you got the word out about your services. I was going to ask you what software you used to make the brochures. Is it just a Word template? Thinking about making some as well and hand them out with my business cards.

Over here Ceviche runs rampant lol the problem is finding the right place and finding it fresh!

Helping my sister move tomorrow.

Hopefully will have time to wash the car tomorrow. I started washing it the day before but it started sprinkling when I had just finished doing the roof and doors. So I called it quits because I didnt want to dry it and have it rain some more haha.

So I have very clean doors and roof but everything else is water spotted like crazy.

A family friend is coming down from NYC and brining us some ceviche from a local spot in the Bronx. Everytime my fiance goes up to NYC, she brings back ceviche from this spot. So since the family friend is coming down, we asked her to bring us some. I was shooting for ceviche and pizza but she's taking the bus down and I don't want to get her jumped.

Thats my excitement for the weekend...what about you guys?

For the weekend...I'm washing and waxing a 38ft RV...Steam cleaning the little

bit of carpet and the tile floor it has....Then I'm watching Alabama vs Vanderbilt

and I might even pop open a cold one after the day I'm going to have...Enjoy

Have a good one! I am working nights at the klink through Monday morning. Had Saturday and Sunday nights off but elected to work for a buddy on his Sat and Sun for overtime. Will gripe and cry until I get paid and see the OT on my check!

Yeah I just used MS Word 2007 and picked the template. They have many different brochures. They're not easy to work with though. My fiance found a website called vistaprint.com...check them out as they may be a better and cheaper option. Kinko's would have cost me about $40, but it was late friday night when I got them printed up and the only printer they had running was leaving toner streaks. He gave me a discount so I took them...ended up paying $18.

I actually JUST got done bashing on the ceviche. It was SO good...although we drove almost 2 hours to get it.

Jeff...Ceviche is seafood marinated in lime juice. Usually its a white fish and shrimp, but from what I was told, can be any seafood. We got both the white fish and shrimp....and man oh man its so freakin good. This came straight from the Bronx, NY and travelled with our friend on a Chinatown bus to Delaware. We drove up from Maryland to DE to meet her at the bus station. Yeah...its that serious. Atleast with us...lol. We will travel for food. The other day some of us started talking about food on a thread and I told my lady about it. Sent her the video to the BBQ spot that Flash posted and we're thinking about going Memphis In May.
