HAPPY INDEPENDENCE FRIDAY!!!

I hope everyone had a great week and a great 4th of July. I ended up taking yesterday and today off for my birthday…thanks again for the birthday wishes everyone.

I got another WIN compilation for you…I’m always amazed at the ability of some people…ENJOY!

So I had planned on doing a big detail job on my car to include filling in some rock chips and road rash. However the Dr. Colorchip hasn’t arrived yet and its just too damn hot to do anything outside. So I’m just hanging out. Birthday celebration part 2 is tonight and will be going out to dinner with my pops, fiancée, and my sister to Texas Roadhouse-I love that place!!! Other than that I have nothing else planned. I may treat myself to a birthday gift and pick up a Master Blaster!!!! We’ll see.

Anyways, to all those celebrating a birthday this month, like me, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

...and to all those that serve, past and present, freedom isn’t free…THANK YOU for fighting for our freedom!!! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Happy Friday! Enjoy some T. Road House!

Happy Friday Alex!

Last day at the beach for us.......heading home in the am

Crab legs tonight and few cold ones then its pack up the car.

back to work on monday!

Have a great weekend everybody!

Happy Friday Alex and everyone else!

I got my Vapor Clean TR5 pro yesterday. Got to play with it then and plan on using it again today. This thing is sweet! Sister went on vacation and left her car so that's getting a good cleaning. It's getting hot already so I won't be working too long.

I'll end the day with some grilling and that'll be it.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday and weekend!

Happy Friday all! Nothing too big going on this weekend again (nice change from all the busy ones lol). Going to a car show after work, the same group that I showed my Z in 3 years ago that spawned me to make my first AG order in years lol. Of course now I'm just going as a spectator but it's more to hang out with a few guys from the Z club and catch up. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna set up the BBQ for some "inventive" smoking and see about smoking part of a brisket or something. It's a gas grill and that involves crazy stuff like cranking down the tank valve to get the temp down low enough lol.

Happy Friday Charles!!!

Thats awesome that yo're getting up with some old friends. Should be good times. You should just park your jeep right up front hahahah!!! Oh man you are making me HUNGRY!!!! You need to DEFINITELY post pics of the BBQ tomorrow...LOL!!!! I'm curious how, though, on how to smoke with a gas grill. I would love to give it a try.

Have a great weekend buddy!!

So I learned this from the Good Eats cooking show on Food Network, the "Right on Q" 1 hour special. Basically you have to crank everything down so you can get 225 degrees air temp. This usually means only one burner on low and then cranking the tank valve down some even. If the grill has those "flavorizer bars" you end up pulling most of them out to also put in a pan of water. Once the temp is set, wedge in a foil pie pan of wood chips folded in half on top of the one burner that is on (usually wedged between the flavorizer bar that's left and the side of the grill).

Then you just put your meat on there and smoke it until it's done, changing the wood chips as needed. It's definitely a pain to keep the temp constant. From what I was reading recently, a charcoal smoker properly lit will actually keep & maintain temperature pretty easy. (there's a special method for setting up the charcoal)

p.s. you can't rely on the temp gauge in the grill lid at all, you need to use something like an oven probe thermometer (the kind on a wire) that is clipped on inside the grill. That means one for the air and a 2nd one for the meat.

Sweet!! Thanks for the info Charles! Imma have to try that out one day. That sounds really good! Hope the meat turns out good tomorrow! Send me a plate!

Well, here's a tip I just learned the hard way. This process is not a good idea when it's 90+ degrees out and the sun in shining on the grill. Couldn't get the temp to go low enough and it was already 104 in there without even turning it on!! Looks like I'll be trying this tonight when the sun goes down and it cools off. Should have known better :(
