By the time you add a backing plate, counter wight, etc, and getting a 30 day warranty, you can get the Griots garage 8mm 6" polisher for a little bit more..

No one changes the counterweight... And you don't have to pay for the 30 day warranty, that much is free. There is a 2yr. warranty available for $20, but it's a waste of money because those polishers seemingly don't ever break on their own.
