If anyone has a54.99 coupon that they can send by e-mail, I tried to buy with out it and it did not work,,,Thanks

Or send me the code under the bar code that will work, the local HF said that would work

Just sign up for the Harbor Freight email newsletter, you'll get weekly coupons (including the 20% coupons)

Google search "harbor freight 25 coupon" and you can print the 25% off one. Used it on my steamer last week.

Hi thanks I found the coupon for $54.99 and the 25% off coupon.

did not want to use the $59.99 only $5.00 less but that helps to buy more supplies

Thanks

What grease are we reloading these with?

Any quality gear grease. lots of us have used the red grease from Oriely, but just look at an auto store for quality grease. I found that Bearing grease is too thick and bogs the machine down at lower speeds.

I picked up some Mobil 1 synthetic all purpose stuff. Thanks!

To early to say , I just did mine. As with most things, its going to be up to you. depending on amount of use, how hot of climate ect.. I would do it at least once a year, but that may be overkill LOLOL If I would put it on a PM cycle thats what I would so . (PM = Preventitive Maintance)

Cool, thx..... now to figure out how to do the Flex :xyxthumbs:

For clarity, this is the stuff from O'Reilly--correct?

Hey this might be a stupid question.

So I just got my 5" astro pneumatic backing plate and put it on. Now it came with 3 plastic washers. Now I saw there was one in the original backing plate. And there 3 washers are different thickness. So I basically just used the same one as the original one just new that came whth the 5" plate I got. What's the purpose of these. And what's the difference using thinner or thicker washers. Figured I would ask.

I just ordered the polisher over the phone from harbor freight. i got the warranty for 9.98 for two years. Just giving a heads up...With the warranty and with a 25% off coupon it was 63 shipped to my door.

Nice that's what's up wish I would of dound the 25 before I bought it but whatever no big deal. So anyone know what the washers are

I get it. It's just a compression washer and spacer. Just don't know why my astro backing plate came in few different sizes thicknesses

HF currently has a Chicago DA polisher for 54.99.. its currently on sale until sept. 30th and its original price is $120.... from my past experience HF does sell a ton of garbage but they also sell a few hidden gems... i purchased this polisher and i have zero complaints... A lot of ppl say it will prob break extremely fast but in all honesty who cares its backed by a lifetime warranty

It was my understanding that hand tools have a lifetime warranty and their power tools have a 90 day warranty, that is why everyone is talking about the $9.98 or $35.00 cost for 2 years.

That's correct - I bought it for $54.99 and since I had a coupon, got a free set of Pittsburg screwdrivers. They aren't great, but I now have a dedicated set of screwdrivers for detailing, so I'm happy.

Anyway, hand tools have a lifetime warranty, and power tools have 90 days WITH RECEIPT. Now to find a decent backing plate and starter set of pads...

Most don't. Can you contact astro?

You got it! I will do that and I will let you guys know what they say or suggest. From what I hear you can use all 3.

I just used the one that was the same thickness as the original one that came with the machine. So figured should be an issue. Although I wonder which is better the orginal one that came or the new one. I don't know but I will get to the bottom of this and come back with some Info to clear this all up

Thanks guys
