Hard water / soap ?s

I'm not sure how to exactly determine hard water but here's the question. I have pinnacle's car wash and megs gold class car wash. The megs is way sudsier than pinnacle in my experience. I read folks saying the pinnacle is really sudsy for them which makes me wonder. It says 1/2 an oz per mixture but how much water? A 1/2 oz wouldn't do much put suds on the wash mitt. The megs gold class will produce suds from here to California it seems with very little product though.

What't the consus on this stuff? Maybe I should just get a foam gun. It isn't like I don't have any suds, I just want to be sure I'm not using more product than necessary to meet my expectation.

I think Pinnacle has reasonable foam, and quite lubricated. It really is designed to work with carnauba waxes and not strip them IMO. Just remember to follow directions, not all soaps use the same mixture/dilution ratios.
