I just bought a used 2009 Chevy Malibu from Carmax. I bought it at night and the looks really good. The problem I have is that the windows and the chrome accents around the window have hard water spots that will not come off. I have tried windex, hot sauce (hard water spot remover for boats), CLR, silver polish and goo gone. Nothing gets it off of the windows or the chrome. Please help..

Chemical Guys Water Spot Remover works well. Have you tried vinegar? No matter which direction you go its going to require loads of elbow grease and patience. If I were you I would try that spot remover you already have again. Use shorter strokes and lean on it like crazy

If you have only had the car a couple of days, I would go back to Carmax and voice my concerns. Here in Tennessee, I believe the purchaser has 1-2 weeks to turn the car back over to the dealership. Not many ppl are aware of this

Would something like Klasse AIO work?

Probally wouldn't hurt. Never tried the stuff personally :dunno:

Megs 105 does great also, but I do feel the CG is a little more effective. I say take it back to Carmax and let them figure it out :bolt:

I use Poorboy's Pro Polish, it takes water spots off pretty easy. The Pro Polish 2 is even better with very fine non diminishing abrasives combined with chemical cleaners.

Try Duragloss Nu Glass.:xyxthumbs:

DP Glass Restorer is another nice option ... use by hand or buffer.

Thanks for all of the help, looks like I will try DP restorer and the wool. I'll stop by Carmax tomorrow and see what they say. I know I could have taken it back within 5 days but I have had the car for 8 days now.
