Holy crap...last thing on my mind would be a clean car in that weather, lol.

The coldest I've washed the car in is minus 11 F...which was outside. Inside my garage with two heaters blasting it was almost 55F.

I have rinseless washed in the low 20s F but that was in full sun and almost wind still conditions. That same day I waxed my G8 with Meguiar's UQW and was ecstatic with the results.

23° no freezing and foam works well. Dunno. Maybe cause the air is very still.

It's because you are washing in direct sunlight. Try that in the shade and watch how fast it freezes up

In Hawaii the coldest it gets is 60degrees so we make $$$ year round!

My limit is 50 but the key is the wind. 45 can be ok if it is sunny with minimal wind.

I have hot water, as long as the wind is low and it's not snowing I am good to go. Yesterday it was low 40, people drive by and look at me like I am crazy.

I can wash in the garage during the winter. Its concrete floor and walls with a drain in the middle. Its built into the ground, about 80% underground so it stays between 50-60 degrees in the winter. The heating pipes run through it so if the heat is on it warms up a bit. I have a thermometer inside and the temp has stayed stable so far this winter. Its about 20-30 degrees outside early in the morning these days. Only problems is the garage is small and I cant open up the doors all the way to do the jambs. But I can wash the outside.

Winter makes me want to move away from the northeast to somewhere warmer all year round.

I wouldn't wash below 45 degrees probably. I have the opposite problem in Vegas as its so hot the water literally dries in seconds. The cold here is only at night or on windy days and if I am cold I can wash really fast!!! LOL

40+ for me... If it stays below freezing for a while, I just hope that my coating is doing its job and protecting my car from all the crud that builds up. So far so good :)

Since we are both in Illinois, I stay within the 35+ temp.to do anything outside :)

Low twenties is too cold for me. OP, I hope you had a pole attached to your beloved Montana brush.

I come from a hardy breed of folks:

I have told "The Good Wife"...over and over again...
that she is allowed to come back inside the house, at times,
to get warmed-up during the Winter detailing-season.

I really don't mind whipping-up some hot cocoa for her...
If she lets me know well in advance, that is.

:D

When icicles start forming on the car. That's happened to me once. Never again.
