Has any used Gtech Exo on glass. I need a windshield coating suggestions welcomed

I have some Soft99 Glaco but I have been hesitant to put it on because I don't want any wiper chatter. Any experience?

Question for you guys using these glass coatings: Do you still use your typical glass cleaners to clean your glass? Or have you switched to something else ever since applying the glass coating?

When I first started using glass coatings in 2016 I used QD's, they worked fine. For the last 2 years I have just been using D120. I feel it does cut down on performance and longevity, I usually coat all the glass in April and again in October, I really never notice much of a difference. I use Pinnacle Black Label Glass Coating and the bottle has served me well. I do have Gyeon View on the windshield, been on a couple months, it's coming off soon!

I starting using Opti Clean glass cleaner when I had applied their coating including the wiper fluid in my car. Certainly not necessary, but does help with water repellance. Opt told me the coating was fairly impervious to cleaners.

Here’s another question: Do the glass coatings protect from bonded contaminants?

Rain is rare where I’m at so beading isn’t really what I’m concerned about, but it would be nice if there was something that could help keep my daily drivers glass smooth because it sure makes for a much better user experience when it comes time for the weekly glass cleaning.

When’s the last time you guys who have coatings on your windshields did a baggie test? Is that even something anyone thinks about? I never hear anyone mention it.

Not for me. The coatings I've tried collect contaminants at least as quickly as un-coated paint and glass. Keep in mind I'm in rain 8 months out of the year.

Thanks for the reply. Your honesty is greatly appreciated.
I recently ordered a glass coating from the same brand that makes the sealant I like to use. It makes bold claims such as nothing can match its beading and long lasting protection against rain, snow, grime, etc...
The sealant also makes bold claims, and if this turns out to be its equivalent I’ll have found gold.🤞🏼
I had to order it from overseas. I can’t wait to try it.

I find McKee's Glass to be the best thus far and I've used several. Lays down a nice solid smoooth layer that I feel helps fill in the pits on the glass well. That said, I top it with and use Rust Oleum's Never Wet for Glass on the windshields of my personal vehicles and customer cars after using Mckee's . It's excellent and stupid easy to use.

Side and rear windows I use GYEON CanCoat. I wouldn't advise using it on windows with wipers though as it will cause chatter.

In the end, the key is to really strip and polish the glass until water literally clings to it. if it beads or separates in any way when wet, polish it again. I use a very firm yellow hexlogic cutting pad with Meg's Ultimate Compound as my go-to polish for glass. Ceriglass is good but can be dangerous in the wrong hands and honestly is overkill for simply cleaning glass in prep for a coating.

Ironically I just re-did my wife's vehicle this week as the initial coating layers must have worn down from their initial application date during the first week of April. Back to 100% perfection. Wipers glide with zero sound and water flies off the windshield.
