Has anyone thought of using one of these as a waterless wash unit?

I've used the smaller pump up ones before. Used to rinse my truck off outside when I lived in an apartment, then pull in the garage and do an ONR wash. Seemed to work pretty good. Not sure how your thinking of using it.

Yep I was going to use one. I bought one and ended up just giving it to my dad since he does landscaping. I was going to use it to spray some ONR and all that good stuff but I really missed using a pressure washer and slammed a 50 gallon tank in my camry Im the MAN

Are you using this for your biz? The good thing is that almost all of the parts are interchangeable so if the pump goes out you can always replace it. You can also add more hose lenght.

I haven't purchased one yet, but it sounds like it would be a great idea.
I do have a detailing business and we work through the winter.
I have a 65 gal. tank in my van, but I have room to install this unit and use it for waterless washes. I was thinking of going GREEN!
I was thinking of installing it in my van and using it when I don't need my pressure washer. I do like the idea of replacing the pump or lengthening the hose if needed.

I tested one out three years ago and didn't care for it. It is too big for my needs. We use about 4 -5 gallons of waterless wash a month (keep in mind we wash Southern California dirty cars, no snow, almost no rain) I didn't want to carry around 2+ months worth of waterless wash product around. The hose is way too short. We need a 15-20 ft hose min. It always needs 12v power. It isn't portable. We can't always get our van right next to the vehicle we need to clean. Having a unit that is portable is a major advantage.

Here are two units I like. One cheapy and one more expensive -

Yeah I like those units also...maybe i'll look into that pump sprayer, much easier to use.

I have looked at fancy spray pumps and have not yet felt that any pump is worth the price over using a spray bottle - but then again I only get a max of 10 - 14 cars a day or a few RVs a day.... so maybe we just dont mind spraying with a bottle?!?!?! 1.00 to 5.00 a bottle that has not failed all year.... I dont mind using my forearms lol.

I can't use a hand help (32 oz) pump sprayer for any extended amount of time. I have carpel tunnel. I save my hands for tire dressing, window cleaner, etc.... I also feel using the larger unit saves us time. It is much quicker in coverage and amount of product we can get out and on to the vehicle. Also we fill it maybe once every three weeks or so.

Maybe it is a habit of mine - but I have to shake the product every 2 or 3 sprays...... does the product not settle in the unit?!?!??!? Again, may just be a habit of mine?!?!? I also feel you on the carpel tunnel..... I feel quite a bit of pain when spraying, kneeling, buffing, etc...... from training muay tai for 3 years. My knees pop ridiculously, my shoulder cuffs hurt like hell, and my wrists feel like pure *&^% . With all that said, I plan on staying in the office all next year and being the "QA" guy - I HOPE LOL!
