Has anyone use D114

I use D114 all the time and Meguiar's does say that it leaves nothing behind. Altho I have no scientific proof, I can say that the paint actually squeaks after all is said and done.

I don't think theres a consumer product equivalent to express wash. I might be wrong. In fact I don't recall seeing any rinseless products in stores. Maybe the autozone types have something

Just got back in the house from doing my 89 Firebird with the D114 and D156 combo for winter storage...OMG does that combo WORK and LOOK great!! Took MAYBE 40 minutes. The car hasnt been driven in at least 2 months and had some bugs on it all that time. The D114 (with a little pre soak of 114) took the bugs right off. The D156 I think most of us already know...it shined the car up very nice and smells GREAT. Cant wait to see the car again next spring.

the d114 is great, i will say the downside to it is when you use it on a completely uncoated surface, your towels will grab the surface quite a bit, so using a damn but wrung out towel makes all the difference when drying an uncoated surface.

drying a coated surface (coated the hood only right now with gtechniq) is awesome. comes clean and dry in just a swipe or two.

definitely one of the better cleaners i've used, had issues with onrww streaking, but this is absolutely on a different level (also different product since 115 would be the competitor for onrww.)

Yep.... gotta' be careful with those "damn wrung out towels".

And the other thing that D114 is sooooooo awesome at is making Panel Wipe aka: Eraser. :props: Mix it at somewhere a little stronger than 128:1 then allow for a 20%~25% alcohol mix and it'll save you a TON over buying Eraser. ;)

whoops. lol typo hah. damp towels are better than damn towels....

i agree with the eraser comment though, d114 makes a good panel wipe for removing oils even better than the wash itself does with the added ipa.

Whoever uses it for waterless, what dilution do you use? I Googled and saw a few people mention using the same dilution as rinseless, but a few mentioned making it 64:1 or stronger.

I used it at the 128:1 Im not sure I would ever go much stronger...but I do want to try it at 256:1 after I use this 32oz bottle I already have mixed.

I figured at 128:1 a gallon will last forever. The IPA wipe is a great bonus. Thanks for the tip.

i tried

1:200 - light dirt/dust
1:100 - rinseless wash (prefered ratio)
1:50 - heavy dirt or drying aid after 2 bucket wash
1:10/20 - panel wipe after polish before LSP

2oz mix with 5 gallon bucket soap act as softener

pros: wash mitt/microfiber stay cleaner
pleasant scent

cons: leaves nothing behind (for those prefer with wax)

For me biggest cons will be... local distributor does not carry D114. product + shipping is 160usd for a gallon :(

looking for alternative lol

Just tried using D114 along with D156 for the first time and I have to say that I am seriously impressed!

Thanks for all the tips and advice given in this thread fellas, much appreciated!

If you like those, D115 will amaze. Its a combination of both and frankly its off the charts.

Problem with 115 is it's cost per use vs 114. Most like to top with something it seems in every thread anyways, or use drying aids or quick wax after words. Even detail juice is more cost effective than the ratio of 115

this, i thought i misread the ratio on 115.... yikes.. more cost effective to clean with 114, then do a spraywax or something right after.

At the ratio for D115 you'd only want to use it as a RW anyway. WW would be too expensive.

Am I understanding this post correctly? . Are you saying D115 would be less expensive to use as Rinseless Wash than it would be for a Waterless Wash?

I think he means use it like Meguiars wash and wax anywhere

D114's a good deal, D115's WTH uber expensive compared to other rinseless with wax. 1 oz of ONR for 2 gallons of water. Unless my California public education failed me *he he he* the same 1oz with D115 makes 4oz of product. What am I missing here? Is this like the greatest product ever? I know not every product will have the same dilution, but an entire 1 gallon bottle to make 5 gallons seems insane. A gallon of ONR will make like 256 gallons of solution.

Now this isn't a knock on Meguiars, I own many of their products and a lot of them are great and a fantastic deal, I really don't understand D115 though.

Right. IMO D115 should be used as I saw on AG's web page. A couple of onces in a 5 gallon bucket or 4:1 in a 32oz spray bottle. That way the gallon will last a little longer.
