Has anyone used GG HD wheel cleaner on tires?

It was formulated primarily for wheels. I've used it on tires and it doesn't do much to clean them.

Griot's Garage Rubber Cleaner is a top-notch product that works great as a dedicated tire cleaner.

Does anyone know of a wheel AND tire cleaner that is around the same price as the GG HD wheel cleaner that has similar effectiveness?

I'm going to look into the rubber cleaner, but I like one product instead of having two for wheels and tires...

As the title states, has anyone done this, even though it's not formulated for the tires? What were your impressions if you have?

Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner, hd wheel cleaner

From the link you provided:

"Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner packs a powerful punch against
road grime and brake dust, yet it's safe and gentle on all wheel finishes.
The high viscosity formula clings to the wheel face to deliver targeted cleaning muscle.
Use Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner on your painted, chrome,
powder coated, and uncoated aluminum wheels with confidence".

And...Just as pictured above:

-Inevetibly, everytime I use a wheel-cleaner the tires will also get a dose or two.
That, along with not wanting to cause any damage to the braking system components,
are the reasons I use wheel-cleaners such as: P21S/S100 wheel-cleaners, or the same
car wash shampoos I'm using for the other vehicle surfaces...to clean both the
tires and wheels...with the adequate amount of agitation when/where needed.

-I used the Griot's Garage wheel-cleaner above for tire/wheel assemblies.
When my supply ran out I did not restock.

I like one product instead of having two for wheels and tires...

RE: one product...P21S or S100

The best thing I've found for tires is Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner. It's formulated to do one thing: clean tires. It removes all the old tire dressing. After that, I've been using DP Wheel Cleaner. That cleans the wheel and gets all the old tire dressing off the brush.

Groits HD wheel cleaner is good....the sprayer is junk IMO.

there are so many different wheel cleaners and tire cleaners.

Megs Wheel brightner is great stuff....and so is Ironx...between the two will get some of the worst wheels looking great.

Once they are clean then I'll use Mothers Foaming all wheel and tire cleaner to maintain, which is avaiable OTC (over the counter).

AS far as Tire cleaners go the above mentioned Mothers is all I use Period.
It works better than most IMOH and I continue to use it and allways will.

Can the mothers be used on non clearcoated wheels like polished aluminum?

Mothers Foaming All Wheel & Tire Cleaner is not recommmended for motorcycles, polished or roughcast aluminum, billet or anodized wheels.
