I'm talking about this thing below.

Do those foam pads have any cutting power?

How's the quality of this whole setup?

by hand! have fun! thats going to be some hard work with those tiny pads.....just save up, get a DA and b happy.

I've seen that before, though your better off bidding or finding a DA for cheap off there cause that will require a lot of energy on your part but I will say it could come in handy for the trimming in one's vehicle

Using those to polish paint would be like doing greasy dishes with no soap! You'll be there forever and your arm will probably fall off! Lol!

If your going to go that route - just buy a Polishing Pal from AG. Who know what those pads do and what glue is holding them together ???

But, I agree with others - get a machine.

i would prefer a holder like this for only one thing. applying things like opti-seal or blackwire crystal seal. the applicator pads are super thin and pinching between two fingers gets tiresome when doing a whole car.

will these hold a standard foam pad just fine?

The Polishin' Pal version from AG works great for applying LSPs. It really allows you to throw down a lot of product and spread it out fast & works great with 3.5" or 4" pads.

The Chinese thing from eBay - who knows?

The Velcro could be cheap and delaminate. The Velcro could not grip the pad strongly enough. The pads could be of unknown cut made out of mattress foam. The ergonomics could be bad. The thing could be spray painted and the paint could come off in your hands.

It could be infected with Ebola or tape worms that live inside and burrow into your hands.

Who knows ????

These are some things I think about before buying an unknown product.

I already have a DA. I just need to do small areas by hand where the DA is hard to get to, where body panels make a concave 90 degree turn.
