That's because almost all manufacturers are still trying to play the "Shortage Game".
Low supply + high demand = record profits.
I thought it was because of sorry ass Joe Biden

It is a nice soap. a local 3d store had a sale going on, on top of an online sale. I asked if they'd honor the online sale and they did.
Walked out with a 5 gallon bucket for 35$ - Yup. Excellent deal

Manufacturers are not having supply chain shortages but labor issues. They gotta pay people more now than ever to do the basic jobs.
Also everyone was so excited for stimulus “free money”. We were gonna pay it back somehow.

I work as a Pepsi delivery driver in Michigan. Thursday we had icy weather.. 25% of our drivers called in.
Being beat over the head with ‘stay home stay safe’ for two years leads us to where we are now… grown men afraid to drive in winter conditions. What it translates into for everyone is product and freight not being delivered at scheduled rates.
Sad part is nobody gets fired for repeatedly calling in. One guy Thursday showed up to work and told my manager he didn’t feel safe, then walked out the door and went home. We could hire new employees but they’ll bring the same problems to us. There is a real crisis in the American work ethic today.

Some dont realize that their laziness in not wanting to work is what will kill human jobs. Look how much self checkouts rule the shopping experience now. I remember when there was many cashiers...now only one or two on a shift and a dozen self checkouts. Its only one example of the age of entitlement and lazy ppl. Folks expect high wages for a low level job. Its a shame. Before we had a remote work policy, our call-in line would say if you felt unsafe coming to work you can use a vacation day. Now I would just work from home. I wouldn't expect delivery drivers to have a WFH option but who knows these days....
