Has the UDM been replaced ??

I saw a post this morning on another board that suggests the UDM is no more, and they now offer a rebadged PC in its place. Is this true or a rumor ??
 
I believe UDM is now the original Porter Cable, same motor as the PC.

Yes its true I received a newsletter stating this today. Due to increased manufacturing costs in ASIA steeming from sanctions or something to that effect.
 
I do not know if I believe their rationale at face value. There may be something going on but Meg's has their G110 that is supposedly made in China like many things. I think they realized there was more to it in developing a electro-mechanical device especially when David O. took over real operation of The Perfect Shine.

The UDM now is just what the G100 was with a one year warranty.
 
does this mean my UDM is now a collectors item ?? Let the bidding begin !
 
Which is why I am now a Flex user. My original UDM still works fine, but if it breaks who is going to fix it? There are no parts being offered that I am aware of. I'll just take it down to Georgia and use it for target practice :D
