This is the only detail forum I'm a part of. I've been on numerous car forums, and they all seem to have a classifieds section. I know they don't want people reselling products, but anyone know if cars have ever been discussed? Also, I haven't seen (at least yet) any sites that offer something like a points type of deal, basically the same thing as a rewards card. i don't know, those are just a couple things that would seem to be of added benefit to AG? I'm sure they would already be offering it though if it was a good idea?

soooooooo, I guess THIS is why its never been discussed, zero replies = no interest.

LOL I am very interested in a FS or Wanted topic. I understand if they don't want detailing products up for sale but isn't trading and people giving others their products the samething?...oh wait a darn minute that stuff happens because its free and no money changes hands as with a FS topic people would basically be taking money away from the site, which is why I think this site doesnt which imo is understandable. But why don't we have a forum section setup for items for sale and or wanted , and if Autogeek doesn't want detailing products listed I'd be ok with that stipulation. This is all just my opinion lol

Yea no detailing supplies to be sold, but with as many members and guests that frequent the forum, I'm willing to bet there would be a LOT of pristine cars that others wouldn't mind owning for awhile.

I don't see why items cant go FS as well. I think it works to AGs advantage.

When i upgrade to the flex, Ill buy it here. If they start a classified section then I'd sell my "like new GG RO" here as well. Did i mention that it will be sold complete with box, instruction manual and DVD?

LOL, easy now. I don't think allowing people to sell detailing supplies on here would be advantage to AG, but having a classifieds for basically anything that AG doesn't sell would seem more reasonable.

No sir. Think BIG PICTURE.

People migrate towards one stop shops. This site already generates good traffic. Add a classified section that the users benefit from and they're more likely to check in more frequent. It could also attract new members. AG could list returned items there at clearance prices. I see no downside.

It will not be allowed. There has been issues with trades and AG wants nothing to do with it. I wouldn't want to deal with arguing and fighting do to dishonesty on my forum either.

:iagree: Ag has a great policy in place....Just like Loudog said, a few bad apples has spoiled the whole bushel. Allot of misrepresentation on products, bottles of products nearly empty, when claimed to be 75% full....the list goes on.

Good thoughts, "if it aint broke, don't fix it."

just exclude detailing products I mean people on here trade all the time thru pm's but it doesn't stop anyone but a general classified section from furniture to electronics ,etc. I personally do not see that being a problem. Thats just me but I won't push the issue just I have been curious as to why we don't either but understand by not having one keeps the riff raff away.

The original design of the forum was to help individuals that buy and want to use AG related products. It was a loose and free area to discuss best uses, techniques, and how-to's. Now obviously it has evolved over time .... but as far as I know we have no desire or need to offer a "for sale" or "classified" section. Trades indeed are a grey area and not really the intention either, they originally started as samples traded to test a product before or during purchase.
