Hi guys,

I would like to shoot to the point here. Any thoughts/experience using a velvet/denim pad? Those pads claimed to be a good replacement for wet sanding. I myself didn't buy it, because I don't believe in a 'too good to be true' item. Wet sanding is a sure step to remove deep scratches/orange peel, but longer 'playtime', now velvet/denim pads offer faster 'playtime'. A friend of mine even stated 'no need to use sanding or heavy compound anymore' since those pads are THAT good.

Any thoughts?

Yes! I have been using the denim pads with Menzerna FG400 and a few different DAs to remove the orange peel on my 2013 Honda Accord Touring. I'm about halfway done of say the orange peel has improved from an 8/10 to a 3/10. I did some more work on my front fender last night and I have achieved complete orange peel removal. While the pads are designed for a rotary, I find that on a DA the denim pad works very well. After awhile the 3" pads do tend to fray around the edges, but I think this is either because of the DA or because I'm getting in close. Either way, I find its no big deal because the pads are relatively inexpensive.

Ah okay, thanks for the links, I will check them out :D
