Hi Geeks and newbies!

My name is Dan Tran, owner and operator of The Buffing Moose Detailing.

I just want to take a quick minute on this forum encourage those new to the business by saying one thing, "Believe in your business and what your core value."

Not so long ago my business was doing just ok.

I was afraid no one was going to bite onto my prices. I tell everyone, " I'm not the cheapest around, but I am not the most expensive either."

Or

The line that actually have gotten me business is, "My competition may beat me on price, but they may not beat me on cost and value if I HIGH QUALITY DETAIL."

I knew what my worth is and eventually the people DID bite.

Many others here have said the same things and they are right!

So I also want to thank AGO for your support!

Keep going.

For those who have been on AGO and have been paying attention, I rebranding my business post Detailing season last year with a leap of faith. Formerly Dan Tran's Mobile Detailing.

As of this Detailing season, I am booked for a few weeks out and super thrilled.

If I can do it, you got it in yourself too!

This is good to hear. I am trying to get my business going and having a challenge re: pricing my work! Your post really helps.
Thanks for sharing.

I started a one man lawn care business after retiring and work harder now than when I was working. Thinking of trying the detailing business when this slows down later in summer. Good to know it's something that can work out with some effort.

Very positive and uplifting words, Dan! Congratulations and your perseverance has paid off.

Thank you for everyone's kind words as well.

Someone on here once mentioned to be a better businessman vs a detailer.

I did exactly that.

Learning to conduct better business definitely helped me gain people's trust fast.

This does go hand in hand for sure.

Recently I had a customer ask me how come I know so much about Detailing and why others don't come close.

::smirk::

She is now a repeat customer in less than a week and a half.

Hey Dan, I remember your original business name when you were asking questions as you were starting your business. Congratulations man, well done.

Hey Dan,

Im glad that things are looking bright!

I always say, As long as you have passion/drive in anything you do success will naturally follow.

Keep progressing!

Sounds good. Best of luck to you. One vehicle kicks my butt so there is zero chance I could do this for a living. I space out my truck, the wifes SUV & the boat and that is plenty for me.
