I was using 6.5" CCS white and black pads. They came with my Porter cable 7424xp . Actually needed some 5.5" to go with the 5" backing plate. It turned out great anyway.
Great looking taco. Was this your first time using the DA? How did you like working with HD speed? Did you let the speed cure for any length of time before applying the collinite?
One last one: I can't question the results, because it looks great, but why did you go with 845 instead of poxy? Was it a situation like I run into where it's what you had on hand?
I practiced using the Da on my old truck. I am a long way from being a detailer with it lol. By the time I had made it around the truck , I changed out pads again and heated the 845 in a bowl of hot water to thin it up. Then applied it starting at the first place I used the HD Speed and worked my way back around. I went with this combination after asking for advise from here and following the recommendations. I love the results. My girlfriend loved it to. Talked me into doing her neglected 2000 Buick regal . It came out good but not perfect. Her car needs a repaint but it worked wonders considering. She 's happy with the outcome.
