So after getting stood up by a prospective customer for the 2nd straight Saturday, I was all set up with nothing to detail. This state trooper who lives across the street from me had asked a ways back about me doing his car. I saw him out mowing & had him bring it over. Didn't have too long to work on it, so I just gave it a quick wash & clay, & hit it with HD Speed. The car had some minor swirling that Speed easily took care of. It's hard to get good pics of white, but for a quick 2 1/2 hr job on a car with over 160k miles I think it came out pretty good.

You sir are not being honest here. I mean, c'mon tell the truth. This look a hell of a lot more than PRETTY GOOD. This looks GREAT. For 2 1/2 hours, this officer should escort you everywhere for the month!

Looks great!

Tell him not to place people up against his car as he cuffs them, use the back of their car instead. :)

Sharp looking ride! I'm thinking about picking up some HD Speed to do mine and my parents cars as I usually don't have a lot of time do spend detailing sadly:(. How do you like using it? What pads would you recommend?

This is only the 2nd car I've done with it, but so far I really like it. Long work time, finishes out nicely, & easy to wipe off. I used orange CCS light cutting pads (which I'd read somewhere to use) on my 21mm long throw machine. Really nice product to use.

Wow! Impressive outcome in 2 1/2 hours!

Thanx! I told the owner it wasn't going to be a full detail. The whole thing was sort of an experiment to see how quickly I could do a basic wash, clay, polish/seal with Speed. I wiped the car down 1st with Poorboy's Spray & Wipe (15 min) , then clayed it (about 45 min) Then spent 1.5 hrs polishing, not worrying about specific correction since it only had minor swirling. It had some scuffs & smudges that Speed got rid of with ease. I worked out a deal with him. I'm not charging him because they have an annual inspection of their cars, & he's going to show his to his fellow officers & hopefully get me some business!

I SO want to do a Police Charger... Highly doubt State of NH would let me "show & shine" one of their Chargers... but it is one of my detail bucket list jobs..." Don't ask why... :-)
Nice work by the way! :-)

I must confess it was on mine too, as is what I'm doing next Saturday!

I'm kind of curious in my city we have mostly chargers in white and some unmarked in that nice dark blue color and I see these cruisers rolling around with tire shine and really nice paint. I know they prob clean the cars up at the station but someone is spending time on these like an outside company...I want that gig! Anyways came out awesome. Love that HD speed!

Here in Indy we have these tunnel washes called 'Mike's Express" & "Crew". I see police cars coming out of them a lot, so I assume they get a good deal. They have a tire shine option that sprays the tires, & when you leave the crap gets slung the crap all over the place. This car had gotten that because the bottom of the fenders behind all 4 wheels had it everywhere!
