HD Speed Pads

I hardly see anyone talk about HD Cut and Polish, all Kudos go to Speed and Adapt. I guess thats why they introduced HD Cut+ and Polish+ and why 3D has very different AAT Compound and Polish compared to HD.

I've read threads where fellow forum members stated in their experience that Speed cut more than Polish and left a glossier finish. If they reading this maybe they might comment.

Makes sense it would leave a nicer finish as it rates as a less aggressive finer product and combined with a little Poxy/sealant it would most definitely feel better than polish alone.

I've not used their HDPolish but I can say HDSpeed has a nice long working time thus it could do a great job cutting on troublesome moderate swirls. I did a Ford recently and was very pleased how it cut through some F150 paint with bad swirls.

I've been a Megs fan and still am but find myself moving to HDAdapt and HDSpeed more and more lately as time is always a consideration.

I think it's because of my last point and that not every weekend enthusiast is going to invest in a $400 buffer just to save time. Me included, I'd rather continue with my two $120-$150 DA units and buy better products like Adapt and Speed to save me time.

I'm not a fan of cut, HD polish is awesome.

All the times I used cut it gave me troubles of drying out too fast, it is really a liquid type fluid, very runny, the weather could have been the culprit of that, but the times I used it , I wasn't doing back flips about it.

I have never tried adapt my self but everyone seems to love it.

My guess it's easy to use like HD speed.

For some reason I can't help but think HD Adapt and Rupes UHS are more or less along the same lines. No idea where I got the idea from but whenever I read about Adapt, UHS comes to mind and vice versa.

I think we can throw Menzerna PF2500 into that mix too.

I think you'll be bogging down your PC with that pad. I'd be more inclined to use the Griots new flat pads on your PC if you're willing to invest the money.
Do you think the Griot's pads would be a better choice than LC flat pads?

Any thin pad will be better for rotation on machines like the griots 6 inch or Porter cable.

Keep in mind that thin pad lack in curved or countour panels , thicker pads serve better for those purposes.

But on a flat panel, less pad = less weight to throw around = faster and cooler correction
