Just used HD Speed for the first time today. While it works as described I found the smell to be slightly undesirable. I can smell the Berry but something else in there just rubbed me wrong. Anyone else feel the same?

Also I used it in VERY direct sunlight this morning and it did a perfect job. Didn't dry up while working and wiped right off. Says clearly on the label to use it in the shade. Is that anyone else's observation with this great product?

I will be using it as it works so good!!!! Just wanted to see if anyone else thinks the same.

It has become my #1 AIO. I have not been offended by the scent either and hopefully now I don't notice any odd smell. What's not to like about this product? It works great in direct sun, long working time, cuts pretty good and is stupid cheap!

lol! Hope I don't make you smell anything funny either. :xyxthumbs:

Oh Ill be using it! If I have to go buy some of those wooden clothes pins for my nose I will be using it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty sure it will be taking over 1st place AIO from the XMT360!

Speed is amazing really. The HD line of the polishes and compounds have been a treat to work with I still can't believe I see people mention 105, 205 unless they just got tons of it and don't want to throw it out lol

HD does make some great products! However, for the professional 105 & 205 are still great products dependent on the surface being worked. M205 is a great starting point for a test spot to gauge the level of correction needed.

I used to like D151 too, then I found that XMT360 would cut better in most cases. After trying speed yesterday I can very easily see how it is probably going to beat XMT out.

I've got HD Polish that should be on my doorstep by the time I get home. I've been using Menz sf4000 so I want to see how it compares. I haven't jumped into the AIOs yet because I like to use coatings or stand alone sealant on my cars.

Both HD Polish and SF4000 are great products, but I'd give the edge to SF4000 for superior finishing abilities. IMO, as good as 4500.

I'm the same. Though I get D151 by the gallon (so inexpensive!), I got a quart of Speed to try out. D301 could even be considered an AIO. But because I also like coating or sealing my cars and offer it to clients, it's good to have single-purpose product that offers decent correction and that finishes up well. Menz 2500 should also fit that bill.

Man, you all drive me crazy!

Have used Sf4000 as a aio because my vehicle is new. Nailed it, along with a coat of 476 by hand to finish. 476 is a tank covering buy the way. I have HD Speed just need to find, oh yea, my neighbor Dave's Jeep will work, thanks. I'm doing a little fender work because some prick decided to leave their paint on mine. Thank you sir, otherwise she'd be Speed worthy. I love every aspect of detailing, always a decision, always a challenge and always a smile😀. And always a new product to try. :buffing:

Peace,

Darrin

But SF4000 is not an "all"-in-one, as there is no sealant or LSP in it. D151, D301, HD Speed, Menzerna 3n1, XMT 360, WG Über AIO and others contain abrasives or cleaners, as well as an LSP. Some offer more correction than others, while others may offer longer-lasting protection.
