It's been a while since I used HD Speed. I was reminded today how nice of a product it is, especially for quick One-Steps or AIOs (all-in-one). No dusting, easy wipe off and nice results.

My neighbor and friend across the street is doing some electrical work at my house and I did a quick one-step on his F150 in exchange.

His F150 sits outside 24/7 and had its share of swirls and water spots.

Steps:

Wash - rinseless wash with McKee's 37 N-914 and Big Red Sponge.
Clay - Speedy Clay Towel and McKee's 37 N-914 as the lube.
Dry - Cobra Waffle Weave Towels.
Polish - Flex 3401 with LC 6.5" CCS Orange Pad.
Wheels - rinseless washed the wheel faces with McKee's 37 N-914, wheel brush and black microfiber towel.
Tires - Blackfire All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant, cleans and dresses at the same time, nice product but I don't think it's available anymore.

HD Speed did a nice job for a quick detail. The key word is "quick" since I didn't have a lot of time to spend on the truck and wanted to clean it up and get it looking nice.

My neighbor was real happy about how it came out.

Wow! Those are impressive results. Great work. I enjoy using Speed. I use the CCS orange pads as well. My only gripe with Speed is pad staining and removal from pads.

How long did it take you to polish the truck?

I know what you mean, it's a little more difficult cleaning AIOs from pads so I dedicated my CCS pads just for AIOs like HD Speed.

It took me about 4.5 hours from start to finish and about 2.5 hours for the polishing step. I did about 4 section passes per section on the hood and roof and 2 or 3 section passes per section on the rest of the panels with moderate to fast arm speed. The hood and roof were in the worst shape so I gave those areas extra attention.

Beautiful results, Frank! I don't know what work he did for you but looks like he got the better deal.:dblthumb2:

Opps....I posted this at wrong place!!

Sorry.

Tom

No worries. Somehow I missed seeing your post the first time around. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Paul!

I think he got the better deal also. My initial plan was to wash the truck and maybe polish the hood but when I saw how nice the hood came out I got carried away. :) :buffing:

Nice Frank. :props:

Fantastic results indeed, & yeah I’m with the opinion your neighbor got the cream here. I’ll admit I was very late to the HD Speed game, actually Don got me a bottle to take home with me at Detail Fest (at that stage I had no idea we had a distributor in NZ) & for an AIO it’s pretty impressive. I kinda wanna taste it though! Damn it smells good! :buffing:

Great post Frank, thank you for sharing.

Thanks Aaryn!

Lol, I've been tempted to taste it also. :hungry:

Looks awesome. I touched up a few spots on the hood of my wife's black Honda pilot with it last week and it did an amazing job for the little time I put into it.

Boy is that a beautiful truck. I like the whole neighbors trading labor thing. Even if he did come out ahead in the deal, it's a nice neighborly thing to do.

I have an unopened bottle of HD speed in my arsenal that I can't wait to try. Hoping it lasts quite awhile without topping it with an LSP.

The truck was rained on this morning.

Nice work. As an owner of an F-150 crew cab I'll say that AIO is the only way to go! I've been using 360 but I might have to get a bottle of speed next time.

I have always been blown away at what Speed can do.

I will always have some Speed in my detail bag, regardless of what else I may try and like.

Awesome work, Frank!

I agree with this 100%

I don't do much mobile work but last week I had a mobile job and realized halfway through that I forgot to bring my bottle of HD Speed. Even though it worked out fine, I got the same feeling in the pit of my stomach like I'd get in high school when I'd get to class and realize we had an exam that I completely forgot to study for.lol

Awesome results!!

I love Speed with the Purple 3D Spider pad, aggressive like the orange pad! Great combo!!!!
