Well... I didn't think I would get another chance to drive her this year/season, but we've been blessed with upper 30's/40's weather this weekend (today is supposed to even be better) and plenty of sunshine. In fact, this whole week is supposed to be sunny. I might get to eek out another week of driving her. I have owned her now for over a little over a month. I absolutely love the car. Getting used to the clutch, the steering, the power, and her curves. I love washing her... LOL. Also, I must say, I've owned black, red, white cars, and this Kona Blue paint is my favorite.

So anyway, I whipped out the tripod and started to do some shooting (my other hobby). Still chilly, but at least the sun was out at dusk. I didn't have time to go to a scenic spot since it was already getting late :( If I have time tomorrow I will do that... besides, too cold :(

Marilyn was detailed as follows:
Washed with Optimum No Rinse/Pinnacle Gel
Dried with Finish Kare 425
Polished lightly with Menzerna Power/Super Finish using Porter Cable XP, gray and white LC CCS pads
Then Chemical Guys (CG) Blacklight via gray pad
Then CG Pete's 53
Then CG Hybrid V7
(Prior, she was wearing Pinnacle Souveran)

Camera:
Nikon D60
6 exposures per shot, various shutter speeds, at -2, -1, -.5, +.5, +1, +2 EV
Exposure blended via HDRTist on my Mac.

I also included the non HDR shots as well. Let me know what you guys think!

And post up some pics of yours!!!!

This has to be one of the most stunningly gorgeous Mustangs on the planet; seriously!

While the weather has been gorgeous even there In New England, I put me Z06 Corvette to bed before I went in for surgery. If I really wanted to I could drop it down and take it out but I'm afraid I'd piss off the snow God's and winters mighty fury would be unleashed.....

Ride captain ride!! :props:

Thanks Bobby! Yeah I "thought" Marilyn would be in bed by now for a LONG winter, but it actually rained last week to clear off any crud on the roads, then voila, sun and no snow. So I thought to myself, eh, why not... bring her out again... then ONR her this week sometime and store her again.

Absolutely stunning!!! I love that color and you have her in tip top shape.

Nice car, that blue is awesome....but don't be modest, show us a few pictures of it :props:

Absolutely beautiful! You are starting to make me like HDR. I've been trying it out on my iPhone 4S and when I find the right shot its amazing! Just wanted to share that since the last time I gave you grief. :)

Thanks Corey... coming from you, means a lot. Yeah having no swirls/marr straight from factory is probably a fanatic detailer's dream.

Haha... thank you Richard! :) Np at all. Yeah I know you like looking at unedited photos, which is why I included them in here. I didn't do any direct sun shots this time around, but my previous thread had it. But yeah, I like HDR in terms of artsy poster-type of shots... they're all good all the same. Thank you again.

Honestly I just like seeing how products work during a correction, after that it doesn't matter to me. It's not really a judgment of the detailer's ability, more about how well a product combo works. Make sense?

I saw your avatar and sig a few days ago and thought man I would love to see some good pics of that stang! Good job and thanks!

Man, you have some nice cars! Loved your Z and then you get a really nice Stang! These new Mustangs have my mouth watering.
I loved the looks of the new Cameros, then I drove one and wasnt impressed. I may have to get check out these Fords!

Thanks Dan. Yeah I need to update my avatar :)

Sweet 5.0. I actually like the non-HDR pics better.

I like them all... I like the non-HDR to truly show the condition of the finish, then HDR for the artsy, desktop background stuff :)

your 5.0 looks amazing what tire dressing did you use?

This time around, I used WG Black Onyx, let dry for 8 hours before driving to avoid sling. I usually use DP Tire Gloss or PB Bold n Bright.

Thank you for the kind words.

Bill thank you for posting those! Damn, those are some GOOD HDR shots. What rendering program do you use? Since I have a Mac now, my choices are limited, but I sure am enjoying the speed of it :)

I will post more HDR pics of some I took from today's outing.

Thanks Jeff! Yeah, my Z I loved... but this 5.0, I absolutely crave and adore. My Z is a far 2nd. :)

I test drove a Camaro too, since I needed a back seat... needless to say, it was terrible. I test drove the 5.0, and after 20 minutes, I signed the papers. Yes, it was THAT good. There's a reason why Ford's slogan is "Drive One." You should.

Some shots I took today since it was just beautiful today...

I use either Adobe Photoshop, or Nik HDR Efex Pro depending on what I am doing. I use both of those on the Mac :)
