just want to share this with anyone looking to do a head light restoration.
bought the 3m headlight kit. works great.
Here are some pics.

Excellent work I am happy to see you are posting too

Excellent work, looks brand new.

There are things on a car that particularly when damaged gives the whole vehicle a bad look, and yellowish headlights are one of those.

I saw 3M kit on shelf many times, I'd give it a try next time I see it for an affordable price.

Thanks for sharing,

Kind Regards.

Thank u not bad for 30 bucks. i only had to do 1 headlight because the other one was new.
probably can do about 6 lights with the kit. only had to use one 500 grit and one 800 grit before going to the 3000 pad, when done it looked just as good as the other headlight

I've used that kit on two of my cars and had great results as well. My only critique is I wish it came with more of the 500 grit sanding discs. I just did my Mercedes which has headlights with a lot of surface area and I ended up needing more sandpaper for the first sanding step. I bought 6" adhesive backed sanding discs, traced the small discs included with the kit onto them, and cut out more small discs.

Good idea. Where did u get them?

I got them from NAPA auto parts, the 6" sanding discs are also 3M. I assume they may sell the 3" velcro discs separate but I could not find them locally. Luckily the adhesive backed discs stick to a used sanding pad very well.
