Heading out to Train with Renny Doyle!

I am always very thankful that there is such a tight loyal following in this industry where detailers help one another out. I think it's very rare in other industries but it's here is the detailing world and I couldn't ask for anything better.

For any one new to detailing just know that is is not a cut throat industry but one that sticks together helps one another out anyway possible.

Now if there is one thing I have learned so far it's that education and detailing go hand in hand. I have the chance to get to detail Fest and I had a great time and learned a ton. I highly recommend everyone go if they can. With this industry changing rapidly I have realized that training is key but learning from the right people is even better whether is Mike, Renny, Kevin, or Meguiar's HQ with Michael Stoops these are people that I would go to for training because of the reputation.

You can never learn enough!

Well said Evan.

I have never before in my life seen the incredible tight knit group that we all share here on AGO. Jump on any other forum (besides the brother/sister site AutopiaForums) and you will see all kinds of chaos from fowl mouths, bashing other people, bashing products etc. The list goes on. Here IMO, is full of professionals from people such as Mike, Nick, Meghan, the PBMG group, to the people that you have listed on your OP and others that do the same thing for a living, and all the way down to the weekend warrior with a passion for detailing.

I believe we are all equal in that we share this common passion and are so willing to help others when needed. This is what seperates us AutoGeeks from the rest.

Sorry for going a bit off topic on your thread Evan. Just wanted to express myself on how I feel about our forum.

Well enough of that, enjoy your trip and I know you are going to have a blast with Renny expanding your knowledge. Keep us updated on your trip like you have done with your DF trip. I look forward to hearing about your experiences.

Mike

To all of you on this forum, thanks for all you bring to the table. :)

Hi Evan,

Congrats on taking Renny's course. I've known Renny for years and he's a great instructor. You're going to learn a lot and it will help you the rest of your life.

I've sat through a portion of Renny's class a couple of times and Renny had me give a presentation in one of them back when I was still in California and you're going to like his teaching style.

I get PM's and e-mails from people asking me about the various instructors for this craft here in the U.S., usually people asking me,

Should I go?

I always answer the same way and that is "yes" go and if and when you can try to attend classes by all the guys in this industry with a long term, established reputation. If you're open to learning you can learn from any of these guys as they all know their stuff.

Plus you'll be a member of the Detailing Mafia!

Shout out to Renny Doyle! - Thank you!

Just to note, Renny lives in Big Bear, that's my old stomping grounds. I live in Apple Valley, which is right below Big Bear. You'll be driving through Apple Valley to get to Renny's place.

That's my boat beached at Bear Lake....
