Headlights

I am going to buy the backing plate for the flex the 4 inch one for headlights will the meguiars plate fit on it because I know it is 3 inch and the backing plate will be 4 inch

Are you happy with the results?

I'd imagine you could technically work the 600 longer to cut more. I don't see 500 vs 600 making such a big difference, opposed to 600 vs 3000

Which wax did you use?

Yes very happy can't wait to get it for the power tool the only thing is I AM getting the 4inch backing plate will that work good?

I used ultimate wax!

Using a bigger backing plate with smaller pads. Is possible, I know because I've done it before (had to)

But you might want to avoid that because you can cos some damage by nicking your paint etc...

^ You don't want the edges of the backing plate hitting the car. That's a smaller pad on a larger backing plate.

I like Meguiar's Ultimate wax to. Just keep them sealed and you should be ok until you permanently seal them. When washing your car, just look if the headlights are still beading water. If not apply some more.

If your happy that's all that matters in the end :xyxthumbs:

What speed do you use for each grit on you porter cable

I am not sure which speed would be recommended. However, I just kept it 1

The headlights had recently started to fade so it didn't need much power.

But at what speeds are recommended, that I can't comment on.
